Roll away the stone - Sunday ( hopium ) sermon31 May 2026 09:01
REVD OLDSHAREDOG’S MINI‑SERMON
“On the Resurrection… and Other Things We’re Still Waiting For”
Brothers, sisters, long‑suffering shareholders, and those who only pop in to say “Any news”…
Today we reflect on the Resurrection — that glorious moment when hope returned, the stone rolled away, and everyone said, “Well I didn’t see that coming.”
A feeling the SCGL board knows all too well.
For just as the tomb was sealed, so too has the SCGL share price occasionally looked like it’s been nailed shut by Roman soldiers on overtime. Yet every so often, a brave poster rises at dawn and declares:
“This could be the resurrection.”
And the rest of the board replies:
“Aye, but let’s not get ahead of ourselves.”
Still, resurrection is not about speed — it’s about faith, patience, and not selling the day before the RNS.
Let us also remember that when the stone rolled away, the disciples were shocked.
When SCGL finally rolls away its own stone, half the board will be equally shocked, the other half will claim they “knew all along,” and Colenal will be guarding the sausage rolls like a biblical cherub with a flaming spatula.
So go forth this Sunday with hope in your hearts.
If Lazarus can walk out after four days, SCGL can certainly manage it after a few years of “building foundations.”
May your portfolios rise, your patience endure, and your notifications bring only good tidings.
Amen and pass the sausage rolls.
DOG BLESS YOU ALL
