There's a fourth option for the invested who may be hurting with higher averages, sell and rebuy small stakes here and there. Since this all kicked off I've knocked 13 p thereabouts off my ISA average and only lost 900 shares in the process via 3 x 200 quid sell and rebuy. From just under 28p to 14.4p I probably could have actually gained a few shares or lost nothing with better timing but meh, for me personally it has helped give me a sense of control over my position here due to being proactive within my burger flipping means.
I still have faith in the largest shareholder bloc to deliver the goods Spectacular results at that. Shortly (eventually). As for BBs of a weekend. Quiet ones generally generate more offtopic chat over the weekend, noisy ones descend into chaos but hey, call the Inquisition (not the Spanish one) cos I like a bit of chaos :)

I dunno, China in my view has to remain as neutral as possible on Ukraine given the CCP desires for Taiwan. hence Russian playing a gambit by listing Taiwan as a country, albeit an unfriendly one. Further the so called great reset is being contested by CCP and Russia so hyper inflation is more a risk factor to west than east imo. They've been gold hoarding, we anit.
I am confident the CCP will attempt to appease Western concerns/interests in public in that regard, if only to protect domestic foreign investment, and indeed being as cutthroat as they are would be happy to see Russian neutered so as to be a rather large nuclear enabled vassal state but as is. I view CCP as only positioning themselves for further gains at the detriment to all further down the line. That said their desire may still be our gain as shareholders in EUA however I will say as an ethical investor I would really prefer our wares to not go the CCP route.

The risk of being caught in a Kesselring (cauldron) remains for Ukraine forces in the Donbass region after the Russian breakout of Huliapole. Chances of Mariopol being relieved are now all but zero as per my burger flipping estimations. Kyiv forces have succesfully pushed Russian forces back thse past couple of days however that is yards compared to miles of gains.
I do not say this out of love for Putin, as verily I know a thing or 2 about his rise to power that would make Gorbo scream in rage at what could have been (cough WEF cough) but Ukraine should at the very least seek a ceasefire if only to remobalise her forces more effectively. As is the creme de la creme of their forces are risking encircelment and I simply cannot understand why this has been allowed to be. Did Zelensky really think a hoarde of NATO soldiers would come with all that equipment?

I'm going to add something. Those calling for the removal of Putin. Ask yourself this, what will happen to Russias nuclear stockpile in the event of a civil war? Which is likely to happen in a power vaccum. One of the primary reasons the Russian Frederation exists as it does is because people fear what would happen in the event of Russia breaking up, more so should it's stockpiles end up being fought over by interal or external forces.
Please bear that in made when you use the term apologist when confronted with a contraian viewpoint re the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Said battalion started off informal but was legitamised by Zelensky incorporating Azoz into the National Guard of Ukraine. it's almost as if they were tasked with an ethically motivated cleanse or something. So if you think this is justified/accelerated just because of the annexation of Crimea then I really cannot agree. The accelerationism is borne from Zelesnky 'gov, not Putin. Hence my referance to Minsk Agreement. Kremlin has tried to decelerate this situation before they sped up to avoid a greater collision with NATO later even if it meant colliding with Ukraine now.

I could share a video with you that shows some 8 people executed for trying to flee Mariopol and they were executed by the hardcore elements I have referenced. Furhter there is a memorial called the field of flowers in Donbass. It is commerated to the hundreds if not thousands of dead civilains who died thanks to "counter insurgency and Russian sabotauer" efforts undertaken by, again, the hardcore elements within the Ukraine forces these past 8 years.
The risk/reward profile is vastly differenent when it comes to civvies casulties for both sides. Surely you understand this nuance in war? Russian side gains nothing but Ukraine??? As unpalatable to you as it may be it is why I, and I would wager others, post as I do. We care about innocents on both sides of the equation.
