I'm going to add something. Those calling for the removal of Putin. Ask yourself this, what will happen to Russias nuclear stockpile in the event of a civil war? Which is likely to happen in a power vaccum. One of the primary reasons the Russian Frederation exists as it does is because people fear what would happen in the event of Russia breaking up, more so should it's stockpiles end up being fought over by interal or external forces.
Please bear that in made when you use the term apologist when confronted with a contraian viewpoint re the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Such spiel smacks of the same logic that was once used against anti war hippies in the Vietnam era. I care that the current Kremlin continues as a going concern for that very reason. Like it or loathe it, I don't care. MAD is mad and right now we have people trying to pit nuclear powers against one another and in no small part due to our own rotten stinking domestic politics not caring about little people the world over.
Biden has banned Russian gas. Hey all you people decrying a cost of living crisis, still loving those sanctions that will not, I repeat will not, end the Russian economy? But will make you poorer. Further all those banging the drum of innocent civvies. Iran backs the Houthi rebels in Yemen that have sustained an effective guerilla war against the Saudi backed government. Guess who Biden just went to for Oil? Both of 'em. Likewise Venezuela whose Majuro has beaten and murdered innocents to keep his regime going. But hey all good if we can get their oil to offset our cost of living if it means biting our thumbs at those evil Ruskies eh.
What a world we have wrought ourselves eh.
