Objective. Capture Kursk NPP. Secondary Objective. Capture Kursk oblast as another bargaining chip for ZNPP and it’s oblast (province).

Status. Objective failed. KNPP was not even jeopardised at any point. Secondary Objective about to fail. Negotiated surrenders of some units has already occurred. 6-10k troops in Sumy are operationally surrounded and attacked from at least one direction, possibly 2 and a third looking more likely by the day.

Primary supply line is under fire control from both sides via FPV drone and artillery so retreat would be very costly. No hope of breakthrough forces by Ukraine as Russia has otherwise engaged any such force in the vicinity.

Conclusion. The adventure by AFU forces in Kursk will be over in the next 2 weeks. Either through surrender or costly retreat along a “highway of death” (Iraq war 1 aka The Gulf War reference for those young bloods). And Zelensky did state Kursk was Ukraine’s greatest wartime achievement. Whoops.

The initial Ruskie attack and capture did not jeopardize the reactor buildings, they dispatched an AFU garrison that held out in the outer office buildings (credit to them cos they could've holed up in the beefier reactor buildings) where an ammo cache caught fire and sparked off. Ruskie tanks cooked, APCs were denied and storm troopers died. But nothing went towards the reactor housing. It was all fought out in the outer perimeter admin/office buildings.
