The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
Protip. There are no buy or sells, only trades. Best guess sites like this one apply an algo that takes the bid and ask, applies a middle point and anything either side of the mid price is labelled a buy or sell. Right or wrong. Oh and unknown trades are generated when the executed trade price is bang on the mid price. Basically no trader or investor should be using trade data from best guess sites, especially delayed data.
MFW I’m still flipping burgers for a living but know this kind of stuff lol.
Hi Sbrace, as Wolfie said. I quit a nigh on decade long job as the gaffer was F'ing me around over being an actual head chef. If you recall I started investing thanks to funds secured via suing my employer over a work accident that damaged my spine. Slipped on rubbish left on a stairwell. I won but little did I realise 6 years later I would be denied the top job as I cannot agree to a 48 hour salaried role.
Despite being promised a compromise I spent about 10 months doing the role of someone that should be on 30k a year but I was on £10.50 p/h. So I walked into a pub closer to home, offered the a chef job on the spot and within a week of working offered the head chef role when current one retires next year.
Ive never quit a job before, didn't even work my notice. Twas great to make my former General Manager realise he had utterly alienated his one and only competent chef. So yeah. Onwards and upwards for me as I not only have a diverse PF, I have a diverse range of work skills.
That said. Mr Wolfie you may also recall that while I do not have my dream E-bike I did treat myself to a full suspension Boardman. Yeah well some local crackhead and 3 lads knicked it while it was locked to the bike stand outside of work while I was getting changed. I am now paying for a bike bought on credit, to replace my last bike that got killed by someone parked illegally, that I don't have.
It's like I'm cursed or something lol. But hey. I live in a rough area and have for almost a year now and am well liked, even by the kids that nick named me the Viking Biker thanks to my 2 ft mane of blond hair and I'm always on a bike. So basically it's not just the popo these cretins need to worry about.
But anyway.
EUA 21,218 3.50p £742.63 13.904p £2,950.13 £-2,207.50
EUA 5,000 3.50p £175.00 0.982p £49.10 £125.90
I liked it better when it looked like.
EUA 14256 42p £11k 0.982p £140
Still in it to win it however. Good luck to y'all and wish me luck in getting my bike back cos can I F afford to buy another grands worth of bike but I chew through cheap bikes in like 3 months due to the miles I do.
As someone that has become fatigued with the whole silver gonna break out/metals super cycle narrative, things do feel a bit different right now. I have no faith left in the system but hey, who knows. Actual market price discovery mechanisms may win the day yet.
You? :P
Reading comprehension, a grounded understanding of history and an acceptance of the “grand chessboard” would go a long way to that you problem of yours Mulletman. Now excuse me while I sake out my fabulous 2 foot mane of none mulleted hair XD
173k Russian dead…. That’s just plain wrong. 17k as per recent Pentagon leaks. Russia invoked the same article UN article we did in Iraq for no reason? Ie an SMO and totes not an invasion? Hairy *******s. I read all 27 bio research DoD contracts, 2 of them were highly problematic. Like Wuhan levels of problematic. Like. 1 was for reagents that would target slava. The other was if corvids could transmit stuff
This does not take into account indiscriminate killing of civilians along ethnic lines in not just the Donbass region the past 8 years but an infamous incident in Odessa circa 2015. I trust the oh so informed warhawks amongst know to which I refer. You know. That time some pro Russians were hounded into a building that pro Kiev regime people set fire too? Security and Emergency services refused to interdict even as burning people leapt from windows only to be beaten to death. Really atrocious stuff. Or cutting water to Crimea. But muh basic human rights! Anyway.
Did I mention Stepan Bandera? He’s a national hero in Ukraine. Ever heard of Gallica Divisons. You will if you know what the reargaurd waffen SS did in Ukraine. So why oh why has The Kiev Regime saw fit to allow Azot, Azoz, New Dawn, Svaboda and god dang Gallica Divisions to be part of it’s military and political structures? But hur dur ebil Putler must be desposed and Russia must be broken up. Don’t worry about the inevitable tribal warlord having control of a Tsar Bomba or 2, it’ll be finnnne. We’re totes the good guys after all!
(‘Murica, F yeahhhh)
Oh and China invading Taiwan is not dependent on who wins in ukraine, to state as such is to simply not understand the dynamics of the CCP, Asian “face” politics let alone the dynamics between Taiwan and Beijing. Tis more dependant upon internal unrest within CCP controlled China and a certain senile corrupt coffin dodging so and so in the white house at present that just so happens to be more compromised to the Chinese than even Eric Swallwell. Dude may as well be the Steward of Gondor for how feckless and illegitimate he is.
Where’s Mythrandir when you need him?
In conclusion. Yayy Mr Sipp, booo the warmongers. It’s time the warhawks in the west accept they got this proxy war wrong. You’ve made Russia stronger through a MAGA style movement that is winning a war of attrition as one nation against, what, 50 odd?. Well done, you really played yourself with that one.
Now, if you really care about everyday Ukrainians you’d get off this war trip and push for negotiations. Ukraine is well past it’s 7th round of mobilisation and 3 drafts (I last checked this stuff around November) Russia meanwhile has had 2 mobilisations and not one draft. Ukraine bleeds for what? A demonstrably as corrupt as Putin but comedic kleptocrat who is a puppet to foreign interests.
Truly. I feel sorry for the average Ukrainian.

"Eurasia recently received a set of questions from the expert panel of the State Reserves Committee, to which the Company responded. A final opinion on the DFS, to be provided by Rosnedra, is anticipated in the coming weeks."
"Cash position
The Company's cash position at the end of March 2023 stands at approximately £3.0 million, held in sterling and dollar denominated accounts outside of Russia.
Additionally, the Company still holds the 2022 West Kytlim mine product with an approximate value of £5.6 million, in addition to VAT receivable resulting from 2022 VAT payments."
Then legal stuff. Sounds like we are covered on 1, the other remains to be seen but is not seeking that much in the grand scheme of things. Christian Schaffalitzky's comment around sharing shareholder frustration is, by me at least, appreciated.
My gut response. Game is still on, BOD wants what we want. A payday that justifies the work involved to date and the scope of the assets. Be interesting if metals could get back to recent highs, that black sand concentrate maths would change.
All said. I'm happy with this RNS. Well played BOD, as ever skin of the teeth kind of affair but I'll forgive it being a lastminute dot com kind of guy myself.
By the gods I check back in and there is actually an RNS.
Thanks Wolfe and Trowtech. I've being deliberately not looking in across all holdings, things were getting a bit too stressful across all fronts. But things are stabilising. I've even gotten a full suspension bike recently. Still not the dream E-bike but it's my first full sus.
All the best to everyone, new and old. Now to read that RNS.
Morning Seasick, I’m with Wolfe on this one. You’ve made it this far so unless you need the money I’d stick. That said I too am currently looking at the last of the 140 quid investment made back in 2019 and thinking is it time to let those 5000 shares go for what, 160-70 quid.
Quit my burger flipping dead beat job last month and currently short 150 for rent. This could become my first bank of mum and dad job since moving out…but hey. I quit my job as I walked into a pub closer to home, was offered a job on the spot and within a week they offered me the head chef role when current one retires next October. My last place was blown off, didn’t even work my notice tehe. Former GM was fuming but as I said to him. Maybe don’t lead your best chef up the garden path over promotions for months on end.
Anyway. It just goes to show that you never know what is around the corner. All the best fella.
New jobs all round!
MFW Russia has superior AA systems to NATO. But apparently some tens of dated donated aircraft will enable the steamrolling of Russian forces within Ukraine by a totally well armed, well equipped and well motivated AFU.
I’d laugh but I don’t think it was meant as a joke. Say, I wonder what Massive posted that got yeeted?
I was thinking commodities could see some risk averse money moving into them off the back of bank jitters in America. Fear of contagion etc. Could bode well for gold price so of note I would think for POLY holders. Could be some Monday madness across the markets.

Monday could be messy for the markets. But good for commodities one would hope. Does not seem like many are aware of this bank collapse that was the go to for tech start ups. Still holding here but only in the ISA now.
Had to let go of the 100k in trading belatedly simply to pay the bills and I may have to take a bite out of the 400k left in the ISA as I quit my job of almost 10 years last Thursday.
Gaffer led me down the garden path over a head chef role for about 4 months. Had me on £10.50 an hour doing the job of someone earning 28k a year. So I walked into another local pub closer to home and what do you know they need someone to replace their head chef that retires in 2 years time.
So could yet need to plug a few financial holes before I right this questionably constructed vessel to sail new waters.
Anyway, GLA.
I'm surprised no one is talking about a top 20 American bank going under.

Anyone else getting pre 2007-8 recession vibes?
Electric mountain bike for me. I ain't getting any younger but the work hours are getting longer and since rescuing a prime dog (real head turner, black and white lurcher bulldog greyhound cross) from a failed marriage I'm clocking 100-150 mile a week just commuting to work and back to walk puppy on breaks. I long for a cheat button when the wind is blowing hard.
Holders of EUA will recall that has being my investment goal for some years now. Reckon I should at least pull that off with BOIL as I've still got my 1.5 million shares despite terrible pay and cost of living stuff.
Be nice to buy my cycle buddy a new bike as well, his is reaching rust bucket status so simply not fit for 20 mile cross country bike rides by the river Tees.
Speaking of new bikes. Gonna have to let some go here or elsewhere this pay cycle, maxed a credit card replacing my last bike as I was quoted 650 to fix a 1050 bike o.0 That's 2 high end boardmans I have rode into the ground since 2017.
Should arrive today, I'm like a kid before Christmas, my first full suspension bike. Should help with my back problems. Anyway, enough waffling on from the burger flipper. Here's to a solid Chuditch CPR and a better market response to it.
GLA.
Sits like these use a best guess algo to assign buy and sell stamps based on the mid point between the bid and ask. You get an unknown trade when the trade price is bang on the mid point.
Best to just view everything as trades as when someone sells, someone else buys. It’s ancient technology that could be updated but the market refuses to move with the times.Hope that helps.
400k (shares) @ 0.74 in the ISA. Still clutching the 100k 0.302 trading account shares as well. Would love to average down at these levels but as is I’m skint until February where I will take over the work kitchen after 9 years so get a pay rise and disposable income per month again.
Since 2017 and a work accident that allowed me to start investing due to a pay out I have lived a paupers life. Only just started earning enough to pay tax in the past year. I had hoped investing would have pulled me out of that rut by now and frankly, it should have between UFO,EUA and some CFD commodity focused trading.
As is My top slice game sucks lol. Either way between a traditional if rubbish job (do not work for Greene King, won’t even give me a head chef title cos I cant do 48 hours a week thanks to knackered spine) and being in UFO, 2023 should be one of the better years of my life.
Oh and my dog. Friends, family and coworkers have said they've never seen me so happy. Kinda one of the reasons I dont have the time for these boards like I used to, between walking him 3 times a day, cycling to work and working 36 h/w Im one tired puppy like my puppy!
Anyway, nice to be firmly off the 52 wk low to start the new year and for my birthday XD (well, it was the 6th but was working 13 hour shift and I’m only just opening some bourbon to toast myself while on a week off, might get a parmo tonight)
GLA, UTB and bring on that mining approval :)
Ohhhh, can I start going on about the 96 odd liters of homebrew bubbling away in my cupboard now? Gonna need to test the SG in a bit, may be a day of inebriation if only due to manual siphoning of 4 different barrels tehe. Who needs supermarket hooch when you can make it yourself and to a better standard. Plus I won't be spending on excessively marked up products thanks to anti market price discovery principle government interventions like the booze duty escalator. Anyway.
One of my recipes I call Tilt as it tastes like Lilt but if you drink enough of it, it makes you tilt XD Hoping to get a still this year now I'm moved out and don't have to worry about my mam being concerned about the shed going bang lol.
Still got my 217 POLY held firmly, may even get to add come end of Feb as the burger flipper is taking over the kitchen and forced a pay rise outta my employer. Twice in 3 months. At this rate I might actually sort my life out...
GLA and a prosperous 2023.
I remember when my Ozzie relatives phoned one Christmas and they were having a BBQ and I was like. Wait what? I am confused. And get this, the one year it snowed and laid on Christmas in my lifetime was the last Christmas before my relatives emigrated to Oz. Fond memories of sledding in the street while dinner was cooking.
Happy Christmas and a profitable new year one and all.
5x5 , nope, they won't let me make a parmo! Cos we sell nothing else the couple of times they have let me so everything else goes in the bin....or my freezer tehe. I should point out as well that I still have 400k shares in my ISA. But average is about 0.74 Vs the 100k in trading @0.302. So I am blessed enough to be able to sell at profit still but yikes, talk about missing the top lol.
I may be taking over the kitchen in the new year, we'll see, if so I can start investing again but as is not only am I treading water financially my bike needs a service and the whole drivetrain replacing, it's getting dangerous to ride 70+ mile a week for work on her. That's money I aint got but that's not happening until the 9th so I got time to see if Rod has a meaty RNS to put out, either ending or starting the year preferably for me.
That said, I could sell some BOIL instead. Or sell the last of my trading account in EUA but loath to do so for the same reasons as UFO. The benefit of never putting all your eggs in one basket I suppose.
GLA.
PS. This line of the RNS right here, I like it.
"Alien Metals Ltd (LSE AIM:UFO) an iron ore pre-production company". Not read Alien described as a pre-production company before :)
