I think you can view the actual bids that we have had in one sense as a positive which Neil also refers to and that is Assore were prepared to pay substantially more than what we were/are valued at and also added at a higher price than where we are now ..I think we as shareholders can take the positive that management said we are not putting that to investors as it under values the company substantially ..so where would anyone go from there if they wanted to take out ALL ..well if it were to be a recommended bid then I would suggest it has to be well in excess of 33p and if a company were to go hostile then of course that could mean a bidding war and we could end up way way higher but lots of ifs buts and maybe !!
Lol swest calm down ..the politics is no difference whichever country you are in ..there are plenty in the opposition who are not happy that Ghana is getting the best deal ..we clearly think they are as do the Land and Minerals ..as long as when it comes to the vote every member of the NPP votes in favour we should be on our way..slightly disconcerting is when will that vote be ?
Yes Samuel Jinapor head of Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources said in December that it will come before Parliament by March 2024..that looks to be cutting it fine
I wonder what the implications of another bid would be as I cannot see the Ghanaians wanting to participate in such a short term investment when presumably they are investing long term for future dividends..I understand they will still have the benefits of the provisions in the mining lease but not sure how any direct investment would be affected
Although this is yesterdays news there was recently an article in the FT about Hyperion , led by Sandeep Biswas former CEO of Newcrest looking to buy into under valued mining assets. The investment strategy ranges from taking stakes in existing companies to acquiring single mines and full corporate takeovers. On their shopping list amongst others was Atlantic Lithium..however I don't know where that shopping list came from..it certainly did not move the price !!
I hold my hands up , apologies completely got the wrong end of the stick and will now retreat back into my box !!
I have just listened to it again and on 43 minutes he states as of now the IPO and investment by MIIF is on hold
I don't think I was mistaken about the discussion and the committee pressing MIIF for a list of the experts advising on the investment..I will go back and listen again
Sorry been out for the evening..yes the committee were discussing items from an earlier period but I thought the MIIF discussion was relevant and recent..it starts at 42 mins of 1:24 at facebook.com/watch/live?ref=external&v=36439206589
If I am mistaken that it is not relevant I apologise but certainly no agenda Range_Rover..it is my biggest investment !!
