quickly came out suggests to me that the BOD were expecting a very different response in the sp based on the last RNS and when they didn't get it from the market thought oops!!! As now they are alligned to the sp lol
So, they have really joined out world! Or am I just being a bit of an old cynic here?
Be interesting to see if this new RNS elicits a rise in the sp tomorrow. The other thing is if the BOD are now looking for as quick a return as possible then it really is now in their interests to get that Farm Out signed off - who now thinks this is now going to arrive in a very short timeframe - oh dear now I really am becoming cynical!

issue of the CGT was covered and I believe ARA Petroleum had agreed in principle to provide the $2million to cover this so the FarmOut can be progressed asap. I'm assuming it's in ARAs interest to do this to get things moving but there is no indication that this has been done. Do people think this will happen soon and would an RNS have to be provided at this time - or would that come later with the Farm Out.

Shame after such a long, long wait the LTHs aren't compensated in the form of shares at a discounted price to buy! Not sure how that would work but if the BOD are now getting such a deal would be nice if we could have a beneficial deal too.

That's a shame re the ramping I thought some people were suggesting it had reached a floor and we would start to see some increases.
I was hoping that Stag74 could supply the reason why it would be an interesting week ahead as I thought from this statement I might have missed some news that is of interest. In general today lots of O and G stocks appear to be down as most stock markets, in general all appear to have dropped today. Maybe next week we will see some improvement again.

I did actually wonder why this was not done. Why do Aminex have to pay up front and yet this other amount is not returned to Aminex. Possibly a good will gesture from Aminex will firstly release the go ahead for the Farm out and they will get the other amount back later. All seems a bit odd though and the government appear to have said they weren't going to move on this and Aminex had to give in to get things moving.

the 1.40p price level at the moment. I thought with a increase in buying yesterday and earlier today we would settle at a higher price. Maybe this buying trend will continue over the next few days and it will then settle higher?

a lot more people into taking an interest in the share as they will now be able to see a better time horizon for drilling to commence and for Aminex to start generating some revenues. Very good news today and am hoping this new price level can be built on and we will not have what we have had previously from the company - some good news followed by a slow and continuous decline in the sp.

RNSs to come out of Aminex in a long time. Could almost sense the relief in the Chairman's statement with the use of the words 'at long last'. Lets hope we can now make some progress in the year ahead!

You might well be right Tanzania, however what I continually struggle with is if the action of the drilling and production of that gas fulfills a need that the country has then WHY aren't things moving forward to benefit both(all parties) that is what I cannot understand! It's not a matter of me accepting or not accepting something, it's a question as to why isn't progress being made that benefits both parties?

nutshell the issue here. The demand is there the gas to supply is there. Matching one to the other solves both problems. This was supposed to be the issue for such a long time now. So the question again - why on earth is it not moving forward !!!!!

shareholders just don't know where we stand in terms of timings re the Farmout. We have I believe a report due in a week's time. If no timings are mentioned then as I have said before I think this share will just continue to drift down. Who would want to invest in a company who hasn't actually done any drilling for ages and has no date as to when that drilling will commence again. Two concerns or questions that follow Fromm this are - what is a difference between this situation and those companies that become known as companies that are zombie shares. Secondly, I assume that institutions are invested in Aminex - it seems really odd that they are not pushing for progress as in effect there money is currently dead money. I could be wrong but Aminex haven't provided any concrete evidence to convince me otherwise - yet. Here's hoping.

I believe though it was Aminex that said in February that the Tanzanian government were starting to re-engage with companies and also I believe that there was a scheduled meeting due - what's happened with that? If you are saying that the Tanzanian government aren't engaging then why did Aminex say they were? If they are not then this is just going to drag on and on and on. No timescales ever seem to be mentioned - so looks like if we have to accept this situation and no one is saying when then it could be next year? People might say I'm being unreasonable or unrealistic but I have been waiting on this company making progress for a number of years. It was 6 months plus after Jay said the gas deal was imminent that it was signed off - so who knows how long this is going to take - wherever the issue lies!

Aminex said they received encouraging signs from the Tanzanian government and nearly 2 months since they said the Tanzanian government were starting to re-engage. It seems the same old Aminex to me I'm afraid - good news is on its way - just have to wait a bit. Well the real test for me is when they report at the end of April and say they are seeing encouraging signs BUT DO NOT SPECIFY ANY TIMESCALES then to me it could be another 3,6 or even 12 months before we hear anything. I know it's not good but that is what I have come to expect from Aminex - they just don't appear to take the initiative and engage with the Tanzanian government eg the scheduled meeting ????

Feel similarly Dilbert. Invested for similar reasons. My views are probably coloured by where the sp is at the moment and the current situation. If things are going on in the background as normal then hopefully production and sales will continue. There is talk of some countries opening up from lockdown but I would prefer them to take time and prevent deaths. If it takes six months before things start to return o normal then we will just have to accept it. A rebalance of supply and demand for oil and gas will require coordination between countries and hope for the benefit of all the countries that this can be achieved.
