It may not be surprising that you seem to have a pessimistic point of view about nano given their History. New finances are hardly necessary when ME already said OK til next year, cos Samsung settlement will be before that, and that is besides Loam and the finance Company for the Court case who won't let them go bust.
Samsung will either take over nano or settle out of court, otherwise it will cost them a fortune. What would you do if you were Samsung (besides Huwawei contract)?

There, 2 of my most respected colleagues recommending ggp. I said invest a little and top up, now my advice is invest a lot and top up! Bamps expecting Sp to double, but a good chance ncm will take over ggp (or at least their Aus Op) in which case I expect Sp will more than double - maybe 4*.
A good few companies for you to research there and remember - He who dares...
Btw none of us 3 hold tw at the moment, but intend to get back in next year.

Don't think you have missed the boat on ggp. Everything still looking good, so I suggest you invest a small amount and top up if it does well. I was also reluctant to invest in Aim but Mrkt Cap £463m (as opposed to tw £4,753 or a whopping 10% of Ftse 100 Coy).
I suggest you also have a look at nano as a recovery stock. Potential return is massive, but obviously very risky. Not an Aim but Mrkt Cap £52m.
My hero Bamps is in ITM big time, another Aim but Mrkt Cap 1,480 - must be about the biggest Aim on the market.

I am sure you are right that in 3-5 years time Sp will be far higher than it is now (given no more disasters, but we do seem to lurch from one to the next quickly now). Trouble is I see the prices going much lower before (hopefully) a recovery next year.
I still hold a few shares bdev and bwy (from 13/08/14, 55% & from 12/12/13 86% Profit, so not selling them).
So I don't think it is a good idea to get in now - what about Gold like ggp, which is bound to go up in price with the recession. Best investment for me by miles 121% up since 23/11/17 even after topping up loads of times. Only reason I have stopped topping up is it is 55% of port now.

If that has been extended again it means nano must have agreed to it so discussions still ongoing.
Personally I think nano should just let it go to court, cos damages received will be far greater than a settlement even if a lot goes to lawyers.

You might think psn results weren't very good but the market does - up 14.6% this week.
Psn not lost any sales - just delayed, unlike most other companies who have lost sales.
I agree with you things could get much worse even though Builders have proved to be very resilient under pressure, but it doesn't matter what you or I think, what the market thinks determines the Sp, so I am mainly out of Builders.

I don't hold sage anymore, cos Per 26.8. House Builders vary from about 6.0 to 7.0 - say av 6.5.
So if they had sage's Per they would be about 4 * current price. That looks to me like good value - not Sage.
Having said that I'm mainly out of Builders now cos expecting prices to drop even more.

Not bovvered about Merck nor STM, next event should be Samsung. From memory must be settled before Aug 1st otherwise court case goes ahead. Only 10th today but nano won't call off the court case until money in the bank.
Samsung have to reply with an explanation of their defence before the 1st Aug, otherwise deemed guilty, and it also means the Court can fast track the settlement (not months / years).

Only applied for it 2 days ago, transferred money from trade A/c and bought all shares earlier with no worries (unlike prev years!)

Loads of money about, always is. I intend to give my kids a good bit soon (Bank of Mum and Dad).
Think our mortgage started off at £10k (40 years ago) and paid it off years over 20 ago, then retired. Of course the advantage we had was high inflation (so rapidly decreasing mortgage cost), but this is not the case at the now - could be soon!
Just don't like having to pay gift tax, anyone know he best way of avoiding this?

My original idea was that if Samsung did not take over nano they could become liable to lots of other IP infringements (from Europe and ROW) or possibly from any company that takes over nano IP, with no binding conditions of existing settlement - if nano/Samsung agreed a settlement. So better for Samsung to buy the lot.
It is a massive Company which could be in a position to take over Huawei contract, they could also adapt to using the rest of nano Tech, or sell it off. This way no long term risk.
Personally I just want this all settled Asap. If Samsung buy nano - great loads of Cash soon, if settlement OK then need to decide how much to leave in nano. This could create a short term opportunity. Current price 18.2 assuming £500M damages then Sp should be about 200, but it will take time to reach that.
But Samsung might insist on nano saying an amicable settlement has been achieved and damages will not be published (until next results).
Two things to bear in mind, if this goes to Court the US will hammer them, and how can they pick up Huawei contract while having yet more IP issues.

I looked thru RNS's and can't see anything significant. I think it is a realisation that agm is turning into a niche market supplier for specialist materials and they are way ahead of everyone else from that point of view, and that market has great potential.
So much research is being done in the world on graphene I think it is improbable that agm is going to make any significant discoveries (like 4Ft by 4Ft sheets or long tubes), but I think it doesn't really matter.

Original fall of nano Sp meant I had no time to bail out, so holding far too many in trade A/c and Isa. I am hoping this is good cos I didn't sell any and I think the prospects now are better than ever. There is no way I would be holding so many if there was a gradual decline, and if I was looking at this as a recovery stock (with no existing holding) I could be tempted to buy a few but nowhere near my holdings now.
Av price now 31 and hoping it will be many times that soon. The good thing is my profit from ggp is much greater than loss on nano and my Port almost up to Pre Covid-19 high.

The annoying thing is there is a company (Peel?) that does Bed and Isa, where you effectively transfer shares from 1 a/c to the other. Still go thru Sell/Buy process but no time lag. Don't know why HSBC don't give this option?

Incidentally, my partial buy has turned into executed, so I bought the rest at 18.249, cos no sign of weakness.
Just set up this years ISA with HSBC, takes about 2 days, transfer funds then wait for them to clear and buy more nano, ggp, nyct and possibly agm.
When nano goes up on no news (with no RNS) and still no news, summit is definitely up. Just hope Sp doesn't go Ape before I can increase ISA.

I agree the contract is there, just needs to be signed. Don't know why they don't have a clause in it "If this goes to court then...", and as stated Nano will receive 51 to 99% damages - not around 50%. Also any Court settlement in S Korea might take 5 years to be paid, but not in East Texas. That would be contempt of court.
No doubt we will find out tomorrow.
