Linda et al had better put on a serious show of confidence because atm Mr Market is not liking todays' results.

My worry was dividend would have been cut, as it happens, its increased, albeit tiny. HBR must have confidence in their business model or worried how the market would react to a reduction, no matter how small.

We know Mr Market loves to play HBR on any negative and ignore the positives in this case :

"Loss after tax of $93 million (2023: $45 million profit) reflecting a 108% effective tax rate (2023 restated: 93%)"

Add into the mix Black Swan event/s that is Trump and we could still have a difficult time today.

That said, Brent / WTI up and FTSE is too.

The issue going forward for me is now lack of trust for BoD to do what's in the best interest of the company and NOT continue to line their & our new investors own pockets, 4.1p really !!!. Our new investors along with BoD have sufficient financial firepower to easily take out ZIOC or increase their percentage via additional placements over time should they so wish. Up until now I've been relatively happy with the Shard placements and lack of dilution but now I'm not sure where we go from here. The investor meet will need to address some serious concerns afaic and rebuild trust.

Offer me 60p tomorrow and I'm gone, let the 'investors & Mgt' take ZIOP forward.

Our unrisked and ungeared DCF-derived NPV for the Zanaga project is £4.8bn, which combines Stage 1 and Stage 2 production profiles and assumes that the Congolese governments free-carry remains at 10%. We estimate that Stage 1 production profile of 12Mtpa of pellet feed could generate c.US$1.4bn in NPV assuming a 10% discount rate and a flat iron ore price of US$90/t for 62% Fe, CFR China. We then make an indicative $10/t value-in-use adjustment (VIU), which reflects ZIOP higher grade but does not take into account its lower silica, phosphorus and alumina contents. We then apply a 90% haircut to account for financing and execution risks arriving at a risked NPV of £480m, equivalent to 60p per share, representing a 500% increase to the current share price.

The way our SP has been forcibly moved down on any opportunity and failed to gain any traction no matter what, could well be down to someone positioning themselves / our SP for an approach. How many times have we seen a company manipulated by the market for it's own gain with the full knowledge that there is something in the wings. Of course HBR could just be a dog of a business now but somehow I doubt it.

Well, there was certainly buying pressure today, normally an open like today (circa -20%) would have been swiftly followed by a lower and lower SP. However this didn’t happen, within the opening hour ZIOC began to climb and continued a steady recovery turning blue within a few hours. Most unusually closed up too .

We cracked 11.7p (11.8p) for a short period today but unfortunately failed to hold, need to have another go in next few sessions.

The usual lock-up period is 12 months so as it’s only 6 months I would say this gives options should the SP advance above expectations.

Really good day here today given the double-edged RNS. Strong recovery from opening ~22% down in a matter of a few hours to circa +10%, finished the day up, can't really ask for much more.

The news will permeate the market and buyers will arrive, no doubt we will have another meaningful RNS before the investor meeting on the 18th.
