Mercuria were the force behind TW getting such a good deal, let’s hope it’s the same this time around too.

You never know, Mercuria may well be forced into making a counter offer if their plan was always to take 100% control. If they are happy to reduce their holdings percentage and the deal is favourable , it will occur regardless, or will Mercuria use their vote to block deal.

Question for next week if anyone could ask as I’m out of the country unfortunately, is :

Why did ZIOC decide to cancel and not hold in treasury, other than the obvious reason.

If we are expecting a significant uplift in SP then these millions of shares would have been an asset for any future transaction / raise !

Think you could safely assume Mr Market has already applied this known known, hence not dropping us into the 4’s on release of the placing.

However, would like to see a +ve tick up on confirmation RNS later today.

Didn't take long for our SP to be taken back down after what looked like at one point a decent daily gain would be on, not a chance they are willing to let this go yet.

Probably finish red once again today and no doubt the closing UT will ensure this, even though we are seriously in the oversold territory and our RSI(14) is sub 19 atm.

How easy was it for them to drop this again wiping off the 10am early morning gain. Buys twice that of sells, PI's have no chance when all the indicators are saying one thing and the SP does the opposite. Dark Forces are at work here !

Absolutely joke the ‘forward’ produced by Ed , not a clue, he states …. “ And they will do so for decades to come. Oil and gas production will continue to play an important role…”, then he goes on to say “ while we will manage existing oil and gas fields for their lifespan…” does he not realise that majority fields will be uneconomical before long, esp as Ineos have warned that already falling through put will mean pipe lines themselves become unsustainable even if the fields themselves have plenty of resources still to extract.

Or hopefully its a tanker from overseas set to unload in UK rather than support local companies and jobs, UK risks more of these incidents, just hope no one is seriously injured.

Will ignite the greenies into renewed action, more bad press for the NS O&G industry.

I would have thought our divi would need to be in double digits going forward, inline with other NS players, HBR / ITH etc

Also expect the 'special dividend' on deal completion to equate to last years return, ie ~23p/s (18% atm)

Linda should of waited until today, would of saved herself a few £k. Only took 30 minutes to send us negative, oil flat'ish gas well up +5%, yet HBR is still being marked down. I'm fully expecting an approach during Q2 at this rate.

Serica at TW completion had accumulated c$2.4b in tax losses of the newly merged company. So the fact these losses are now c $1bn means they have been used, so not sure what you mean about 2028.
