Totally agree that keeping hold of profit rather than paying divs is better for retail shareholders in the long run, but it's a totally different case with institution investors. Have you ever seen an insurance of purchase for any hedge or pension wanting to dip their toes into the likes of RR with no Div? It's cut throat to say the least. Insurance companies really touch any cover for hedges going beyond their necessity for decent Divs or buy backs.

RR are being sensible by balancing their outgoings of investor Divs against the influx of hedge/pension purchases.

They've done their research and it's clear that Divs are a lesser outgoing than what they expect from mid term institutional SP purchases.

Beggars belief that this forum has 1% information and 99% hostility toward other members.

And before anyone says “you can talk”, my hostility was righteous against recent trolls who admitted (finally) that they were here to disrupt things.
