Not used to this level, or to be Frank any level of excitement on this share. Really big spike in activity

It doesn’t feel like a p&d as there isn’t the usual noise that would accompany that, so given the blatant rise in activity without noise, I am assuming there is a leak of news and we are seeing insider activity.
Hopefully we find out with news coming out tomorrow / soon.

Personally I would love an AZD outcome, of whatever size as that would remove the great unknown of the last 2 years.

Hi Rugby,

You are correct it has gone very quiet. However, I take this as a positive sign that PDL is aiming to re-set to a bau setting after a few years of cash strapped living. In the cash-strapped life, you RNS for every large diamond found and every sale as you want to highlight the positive on cashflow. As we close towards normal life, with net debt set to be a thing of the past and a net positive position, I am hoping that the silence into this result period reflects a desire to go back to a more normal reporting process.
If I had any spare cash at the moment I would definitely be putting it here - I am of the belief that the next results will give a strong positive to the share price. However, my main holding here is for the long term and on that basis I am very happy to hold here - possible 100% uplift in next 12 months is my view.

Good RNS today folllowing on from last weeks interview. Apologies in advance for the below but i dont track the metals as some do here (thank you!).
Am I right in thinking we now produce 1000tonnes of copper per month and 100 tonnes of cobalt per month? Are we getting positive cashflow about equal from each of these activites - $4000 per tonne x 1000 tonnes copper = $4m per month versus $40,000 x 100 tonnes cobalt = $4m per month?
I used a reduced cobalt price and I may be out of date on copper profitability. I could be way out, but if I am not, the lack of excitement over cobalt is very strange indeed. Either way, that is a lot of positive cashflow impact for future projects.

Really liked the interview - no gladhanding and no smiles - facts and the impression of a man with a lot to do.

Key for me was thanking the team - that means the work is done and it is at least where it should be (on past from that is ahead of stated capacities but we may have to wait a little longer for confirmation on any capacity uplift).

I am not necessarily against it by any means but if you read between the lines then this will firstly, make the value in the business harder to assess and could cynically allow the board to cruise (I hear you - they do this now) and secondly, there will likely be a recapitalisation event linked to the first acquisition effectively diluting us unenamoured lth’s and reinventing from now.

Get a new project bought and underway, new sh base and then flush scs investment a little while later - can’t fault the strategy from a bod perspective….

With our at best passive BOD, at what point is this due for a shareholder action to change the BOD. As i understand it, we have easy 25% of the shareholder base in contact via this board, Duke and Viera. I am not sure that there would be any support for the continuation of the current status quo by any sharholder. Do the current board have large exit provisions? Otherwise why are we tolerating their lack of efforts and continual desire to usurp shareholder value for their own means?

Agree it a waiting game. For me I have figuratively put this away. With luck it may recover but it’s whether that happens before or after I retire - not planning to retire for at least 10 years - lol

Whether there is a lucrative market for AZD may be uncertain. However the stability and relative cheapness of manufacturing could give this drug a really strong position in treatments in 3rd world and more remote environments. Given there are about 3 billion people fitting that description this could still have legs where’s in 1st world other drugs may be used.

Good it’s alive but my only concern and I don’t know how real it is - hence this post - is we are now in discussions on drug. Weren’t we previously in negotiation?
Anyhow progress update happily received here and hope it tickles the Share price up a little

Cobalt profits - Sometimes you need to have the calculations handy to determine the likely impact on share price etc. here however, we are talking about what multiple of current profit this will extend profits by - ie it’s a big big number at a big big margin level. As such I haven’t carried out the workings. When we are at 50p a share I may review that view but for now - Lao big that I have to dial down my expectations in order to not become obsessed.

The stellar network funding of the pendulum work for me is the difference. I believe it is their demands that saw Meinhard moved for the then coo and I also believe they will continue to work with Pendulum in order to gain a stellar advantage also.

In addition, this launch is tokenised so immediately accessible to investors to speculate and as said can drive a defined value (big or small). There are some pretty big projects on Kusama in their own right.

So in summary, Stellar is the bit I think is different this time - not long till we find out.

Pendulum has so far managed to its roadmap. It further states a q3 main net launch on Kusama in 2022 Q3 and a pendulum launch in Q4. They haven’t been last minute Charlie’s so far either so worst case we can expect AMPE launching in next 6 weeks or so. [Warning - ramp element follows] satoshi are very close to launching a product that can be valued by the market - given its ability to remain in the shadows to date, this is huge for us investors in Satoshi and if well received, is going to heat things up very nicely.

I too have written off in my thoughts but your point on drug progression is much more important than whether someone bags a steal or we actually get back a chunk or crumb of capital.
Hopefully the value of the drugs to society makes its way into the price and we can all be a little happier.

At what point does the IP asset grab occur?

Given the view of the proprietary tools, patents and the progress to date - I am hoping that not only might there be interest from joint venture partners but also competitors. A don’t know what Seresare spending on trials and r&d, but picking up 4D for £20m with need for a £20m working cap float might be the bio-therapeutics deal of the decade. Contrast that with Merck whose flagship drug is well
Down the route of saying it works better with 4D input and for them a rounding on their capital spend delivers incredible value. As such I am optimistic that between these two without any others we should get a bit of
Money back - it’s how much.

Personally if I was Merck there is no way
I would let a potential enabler of improvement for my flagship product slip away, or transfer to another owner - I was optimistic this was our route out. Time will tell.

Hi Sumo - no nerves fraying for me as we will achieve positive sp growth eventually on projects already underway. Rather the imminent update gives one a good time to reflect on my view of the investment performance.
What I am saying is that for me personally, the lack of clarity and communications is enough to drop my rating of the investment from 5* to 4* - taking it from a no brainier lth, to a point where I will review its performance more frequently. Future funds may flow to other investments as a result. So, terribly dull - no drama or frayed nerves, but there are a lot of good growth companies out there at good value at present with clarity and dominant market positions that aren’t in Africa and it’s inherent risks. Without clearer comms as to the higher returns from JLP, I think the market is shopping elsewhere at present and unemotionally, I can see why.

Glad I am not alone in my view and agree your points in regard to new processes Seis. But tell us, update on progress to date etc.
Happy days, our targets say it all don’t they. Take the outlier off each end and the average is startling. The fact we are a growth company sitting about 40% off our all time high says a lot about how we are informing the wider market of our promise. Maybe we should send that list to Leon - very succinct summary of how retail investors are feeling I would say.

The share price now contains nothing of future potential of this company, but, to be fair to non-holders and the market why should it?
We know with Cobalt we have great news already in process, but from a comms perspective the gap in Cypress news and for me more importantly, evidence of traction regarding the announced Jubilee way global expansion process is extremely disappointing.

Yes, it’s a difficult time in markets at present, but very disappointed at lack of any new news in regards to tailings, new sites and for me most importantly new agreements via the Jubilee way process.

Hoping this will be rectified this month in addition to the operational update.

Still my biggest holding and not planning to sell till back to new all time highs but for first time in my 3+ years of holding, I am not happy with company due to lack of communication on delivering its own strategy. I am of the view that this is what is currently holding back share price and for me the lack of updates smacks of disagreements on next projects - next steps. If the delay is simply to await cash from operations to avoid new dilutions - tell us for how long we wait and market again much happier.
