Previously unknown consultant James McCarthy appears on Friday after close RNS as having made an £80,000 plus share purchase in Novacyt at an average price of £8.95 per share.
No-one by the name was known to have been working at, or with Novacyt until that point.
James McCarthy is listed as a corporate consultant, however the share purchase was RNS’d due to his work at executive level.
Searches to uncover the consultant company in the UK reveal no strong matches to date, with no match at existing UK-side consultants Chartwell Consulting, who handle areas of Novacyt’s strategic development.
A search in the US reveals a corporate consultant James McCarthy working at Wolf Management Consultants.
Before joining Wolf Management he ran his own consultancy specialising in bio technology, pharmaceuticals and high technology.
Wolf Management list Pfizer, Abbott and Johnson and Johnson as clients and have a specialism in delivering strategic growth in the US market.
Novacyt has stated at their AGM that the US is one of their ‘top performing markets’ however it is also the largest diagnostics market in the world which makes it a focus for growth.
Novacyt is known from the AGM to be considering a direct sales team and M&A within the US as part of their expansion plans.
Wolf Management have a strong presence in the US, and are regularly called on in the media for news opinion pieces
