... has not collapsed like NCYT which plummeted 40% last Friday on news that their contract with the DHSC had not been renewed and the bounce back has been minimal -- this for a company with well over a £100m in the bank! SNG's SP by comparison has been reasonably stable which I see as an encouraging sign. I fervently hope, like the rest of you good shareholders, that SNG heralds success in a couple of weeks time not least that it will relieve the suffering of millions of Covid and other respiratory sufferers like my grandson whose life has been in danger several times .

Other than a few tweets mostly I suspect viewed by converted shareholders, NCYT misses out on world wide publicity for example the likes of vaccine news from Moderna - a company few will have heard of but now a household name. Surely our UNIQUE variant test is of vital importance and deserving of more publicity. Perhaps they are pushing it behind the scenes but a blast from major news channels would do the concern no harm at all - in fact it would be welcomed I feel certain as the public crave good news. I do my own little mini surveys amongst friends and NONE have heard of NCYT. I suspect there has been more effort re publicity from shareholders the likes of Van V than our PR dept. apparently sadly lacking in imagination. We really need to get to grips with communications on all fronts and broadcast the magnificent achievements of the company.

I suspect that just like the past 6 weeks or so the SP will dip and rise around a straitjacket of £4 until the next hoped for revealing RNS so the pain will continue for many. I must confess that I shudder a little waiting for the next RNS which will doubtless wax lyrical about the path ahead and money in the bank etc but probably fail to provide clarity on the DHSC contact legal issue. The sting in the tail will be the usual self inflicted wound(s) which could stymie a welcome increase in the company and shareholders' value -- they clearly do not understood the damage this causes. Should this happen again I will seriously question GM's agenda or competence. Many admire the man and what he has achieved which is considerable but his lack of communicative skills/ complete disregard of his shareholders is more than a little worrying and raises questions in my mind anyhow re his character.

NCYT are close to announcing their antibody Lateral Flow Test. Does anyone know whether this is likely to have any major advantage over other LFTs?

All conjecture on our part of course and GM may not be batting an eye. Hopefully the company's true position will become clear with results and its path ahead by end of month. I can see this turbulence lasting until then as a RNS (given current mess) is as likely as a snowflake in hell. Far from ideal for us shareholders but that's the nature of the beast. I am just hoping to break even in a few months time as I am rather stupidly oversubscribed here. GM said exciting times are ahead let's hope he exploits this to the full without the usual self inflicted massive wound. If this happens yet again a TO is surely on the cards.

Nice one Porky9 - sounds like the sentiment of many of us still holding. I expect price to drop further tomorrow but pick up end of week as reality dawns. Pity I have no more cash to invest. Doubtless GM is working his socks off to fine tune the next major RNS outlining the path ahead. He sounded excited -- let's hope it also enthuses the market!

I have scoured the Business News section of the ST but found no mention of NCYT's fall from grace and dispute with the DHSC - I thought the latter might have triggered some discussion. In fact generally speaking, the company rarely appears to get a mention in the Press which I find surprising considering its growing importance world wide on the diagnostic front. Why is this one wonders -- is it yet another glaring example of the concern's lack lustre PR dept. or is there a cunning reason for the company's low profile other than high profit margins?

@Soder. That must have been painful as your previous concerned was sold to another healthcare concern last Feb. for £5.3b. Let's hope you are right re Ncyt which will be some little consolation I guess.

So what is the likelihood of a RNS on Monday with more clarification otherwise I believe the SP could drop further. A director buy might bolster spirits . Possible rocky fortnight ahead otherwise.

@Porky9. I agree and am still holding. Ignore those sad people who take delight in other people's misfortune... it speaks volumes about their character and who would want them as a friend in life. Our expertise re identifying variants in the world at large should stand NCYT in good stead. What rather intrigues me is our LFT which could leave others standing. I hope to hear more of this and other developments in the Company's path ahead report end April. Take heart everyone.

@Porky9. I tend to agree with non sensical wording - clearly GM has learned nothing from previous unwise wording. Perhaps he is not as clever as you think he is and how accurate is the rest of his RNS? One wonders. Ref a TO. Frankly I think most of us would welcome this with open arms and would jump at £10 a share and be done with it. I am not looking forward to the next two weeks!

I guess NCYT will still go ahead with that webinar. GM's image will be somewhat tarnished. We SHOULD really have smelled a rat with the lack of any news and it does not appear that many suspected the DHSC contract was in jeopardy. I wonder how many of our most regular posters have either sold out or are hanging on like grim death in the hope there is some encouraging news to come but they may be too embarrassed to say. Month end results and the plan ahead will decide many including me.

Good point Ventura1. Question is will GM finally come clean and give us some comfort on other contracts or make us sweat it out until final results. If no comment can just see this sinking further. Assume his is still holding otherwise another RNS would have to be issued presumably and he bought a lot at over £8. Time to ponder but I am not rushing to sell although I have taken a very big hit. Wonder how ShaunP and Porky will play it and feel sorry for the latter but many of us are suffering.
