The big fear for many is that owing to long period of silences even when there IS some good news to report, the concern is there might be other skeletons in the cupboard. Perhaps they have now have no need for many of the recent staff appointments. Perhaps sales in other areas are dropping. Perhaps parts of the forward plan has had to be abandoned. Perhaps VanV and Porky9 are one person namely GM in disguise :) All sort of things cross shareholders' minds - all for the sake of a lack of transparency and frankly common sense no least courtesy towards shareholders many of whom are extremely worried and trying to decide whether to cut their losses, sell out and invest in a more stable less speculative company. There are lots of incredible optimists here but most, like me were completely taken aback by the DHSC issue . Now, another silence which could last a month or so probably without any news so the SP could easily halve. Now that might create a real stampede to the door by those who bought in at a low price.

I agree with Ventura1's LFT comment. This is a next generation LFT which can detect neutralising antibodies generated by vaccination so surely is a cut above other LFT's. Most companies would be shouting from the rooftops about this achievement but not NCYT - why? Is this news miniscule compared to what is in the pipeline and GM wants to present an all singing super duper RNS? Is he frightened yet another RNS will send the SP further crashing given his gaffes with previous efforts? You have to admit it's an odd business and one can understand why there is growing disillusionment with this concern -- so amateurish in certain key areas.

Does anyone think the next financial update could be considerably delayed until there is some form of agreement between NCYT and the DHSC or is NCYT legally obliged to present report within a certain period?

... on forum now and this is reflected in SP which I can only see dropping steadily until forthcoming forthcoming RNS. NCYT is certainly not for the fainthearted but at least realism has set in amongst many that a decent profit may be several years away.

Jelly roll. Many of us are in a similar situation and far worse believe me to yourself. We should receive an update within the next 2 to 4 weeks so maybe best waiting to hopefully glean a clear understanding of where we are on numerous fronts. The silence is damming and frustrating I know but who knows, you may have shed some of your losses by this time next month. Good luck.

Deos - you may be right. GM states he is excited with the path ahead but that may just be jam tomorrow like in so many concerns. Many rampers here who profess to be fonts of knowledge will possibly have suffered major losses but would never admit to it as it would dent their egos. We do not know their agendas - they are complete strangers and some will be charlatans. I once thought David Cameron was a good bloke but look at what's crawling out of the woodwork now. The only good PM of recent years in my book is much maligned Gordon Brown - dare I say it, a Christian who practises what he preached and is doing great work quietly behind the scenes but I am getting into dangerous (NCYT) waters now so had better stop. Now I am in my dotage, all my portfolio consists of are green or ethical, healthcare stocks which is why I am still with NCYT as I still think they could prove a major force in taming this awful pandemic and of major help in other diagnostic areas. One day, if it is not subject to a TO, it may become a household name but whether I live long enough to witness this, is debatable. GLA

@mburns70 - You were clearly badly burned like many of us but try and put this down to experience. I have experienced a gut wrenching big loss like this before largely down to rampers but this time, it was my own fault for being greedy. Take what you read here with a pinch of salt although there are some good posters and DYOR. AIM is often like swimming against the tide with so many sharks plumbing the depths. Having said that, a few of us have a laugh here otherwise you would go barmy. I have no great expectations when results eventually emerge but will hold onto my considerable holding until more clarity emerges and frankly do not expect to see much of a change in SP for some considerable time which is annoying as I really wanted out end of this month but c'est la vie. Keep smiling, NCYT might come good in the fullness of time !

Oriens1. So on the basis of that, we should not expect any surge in SP when results are announced. This lack of activity is no different to the past two months. The only difference being realism compared to unabated euphoria by virtually all the prolific posters on this forum which sucked many shareholders in many of whom suffered considerable losses. I think they should eat humble pie for getting it so wrong despite all the learned in depth analysis. This should be a warning to any newcomers not to be swept away by euphoria of which I am also guilty. Thank you for a very honest post. Perhaps the good ship NCYT will sail into more fruitful waters eventually but not nearly as early as we think.

... have just announced in their pre election material that they would impose a Windfall Tax on companies who made big profits out of the pandemic. What's the betting some govt. wally will think this is a brilliant idea to apply this end of the country and one which is bound to be popular with the public.

I am a little puzzled. Shouldn't the presumably just released Pathflow LFT warranted a RNS on its own merit? A great addition to NCYTs product range but why hide our light under a bushel! Tweets are fine but have limited publicity whereby a short punchy RNS would surely have lifted the company's profile considerably during these testing times.

It's a bit like that massive container ship stuck in the Suez Canal but this time shareholder tugs might just be pulling NCYT off a sandbank. Let's hope it's not a false alarm but full steam ahead with Capt. Mullin and crew.

Had hoped to leave a useful amount to the family but this may take a long time to recover and time is not exactly on my side. Hoping to breakeven by end of year and am then likely to call it a day - life is too short! GLA

Ventura1 - have a break have a KitKat! Invest in Nestle - a great concern where shareholders sleep soundly at night. Time to clean out the greenhouse now it's a little warmer and let NCYT muddle along. After all, it cannot get any worse - can it?
