Prior to Covid, treatment delays for mental health issues was an absolute disgrace with many children unable to even get on waiting lists which were so long. This whole area was even then grossly underfunded and ill equipped so what with Covid, another disaster is in the making not only for children but adults also.

Discussion about school LFT which showed positive despite pupil dilugently following rules. Forced to miss school. Parents unhappy so organised PCR test showing negative. Good discussion then about unreliability of LFT with Prof Sheila Bird who said this tiny example would mean 24000 pupils over country would be unfairly kept at home. She is clearly a fan of PCR Good standard testing and said she thought there was enough equipment over country to carry this out. She is unconvinced parents will be diligent enough to test children at home twice a week. Message still not getting through to this blinkered govt.

Bluelight et al - Should a new or extended contract be signed within a week or so or perhaps a more flexible arrangement as suggested by ShaunP to allow NCYT to accommodate latest ever advancing technology, would one think GM will release this info' to try and drag the SP out of the gutter and then follow up later with likely healthy year end results?

Kaeren: Yes, they were all the rage in those days of yore -- I could have papered the rooms of my house with sheets of GS stamps. I guess we have moved on a bit since then :)

I am ancient enough to remember Greenshield Stamps (in the days before self adhesive versions) and had the chore of licking and sticking them in little books -- loads of them. They were big business! I suppose you could say I stamped my personality on them but felt a little green from the taste afterwards.

I am uncertain whether NCYT have a presence in any shape or form in Africa. Many African countries eg. Zimbabwe seem to have got off lightly re pandemic so schools are opening soon with all the associated risks this involves. Also, their 'winter' arrives in a few months which could worsen the situation. A potential huge market for NCYT but unfortunately many of these countries are broke unless affluent countries help out. Most of their vaccines seem to be coming from China who never miss an opportunity to strengthen their ties with these mineral rich countries.

Marvellous to have you back to add some equilibrium to this b.b. Shaun. By far the vast majority here I suspect have missed your valuable contributions and the forum has been all the poorer and ragged since your departure. Hope you enjoyed the 'rest' and that a comfortable retirement will soon be in reach for us older guys!

I have seen all the estimated dates of final trial results but what do posters read into the US FDA's fast tracking procedure? Is it simply a case of throwing money at it to speed things up -- what form could this take and are we underestimating the importance of this support in terms of an earlier than expected result?

Is this video being shot by a different entity to the last rather 1970's effort -- sincerely hope so!

I imagine quite a few shareholders would jump at a return from a TO instead of being permanently shrouded in smoke and mirrors. They probably realise a long term holding is by far the more sensible option but hey, a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush and there are hosts of other exiting options 'out there'. If we talk enough about a TO, perhaps Mr Market may really think something is in the wind and the SP will react accordingly :)

HarChris: If memory serves me right, you sold some NCYT to invest in Synairgen which is now your biggest holding of the two. I also hold SNG one third to NCYT'S two thirds but I feel you may have made the wiser choice albeit SNG are still in final trial stage. However, this share is behaving far more logically than NCYT so the omens are good and I am very hopeful of a good return - not long to wait now and should give Covid and asthmatic sufferers a huge boost. I will await Q2 re NCYT but am happy to get out of this breaking even as life is too short -- for me anyway although I am sure the concern will become a big success story in the fullness of time.

... FY figures end on an improved very healthy note and some contract are extended or otherwise materialise but the SP initially rises then reverts to its current lethargic state! No amount off righteous indignation on this forum will make a jot of difference. I suspect shareholders will leave in droves saying enough is enough. Thoughts anyone and don't say it couldn't possibly happen!

... thousands of at times very astute well researched posts in what must be one of most active LSE chats the SP this year goes one step forwards two steps back. I know things will come good - eventually - hopefully but it makes one wonder if this site actually makes one iota of a difference to the SP -- somehow I very much doubt it! This is not meant to decry the efforts of those who seem to spend most of their lives on the subject. Moi ? ... an RNS on Monday hot on the heels of tomorrow's webinar? With so many knowledgeable people in the 'business' around, one cannot but help feel something of considerable importance could leak out - Eg. DHSC extended or new contract or is this just wishful thinking on my part?

.... There is room for more optimism now. Covid stocks have taken a real hammering these past few days especially NCYT which I also hold. SNG however, appear to have withstood the storm far better than most and are bouncing back which is a good sign and I sense some positive news will be forthcoming shortly which could set the heather on fire!

Good points Porky9 and I tend to agree. H1 results are all important. I had hoped the late corrected RNS yesterday might give us a little boost today but this will probably be nullified by approval of the Johnson vaccine.
