... we are stuck in the proverbial rut pending a Broker update or some meaningful news from GM within the month. I think we have flogged this issue to death and are now going round in circles. I never thought NCYT would prove the worst by far share in my portfolio which includes many AIM companies most of whom have largely recovered since last week with one exception! Clearly, Mr Market at the moment is far from convinced NCYT has much of a future so I think I will switch off for a couple of weeks. No sense getting into a paddy about it!

Isn't an announcement on LAMP expected Q1?

... by far the majority have maintained their faith and likely their holdings in NCYT to deliver a good year and a bright future as a major UK diagnostic concern.

A courteous reply from GM and the part which interested me most is 'his focus is to maximize this to the benefit of the Company today so we can build the foundations to deliver a post-COVID exciting diagnostics company. When we are ready this will be revealed including our organic and inorganic investment plans.' He has also clearly acknowledged the need to strengthen the PR side of things. Well done!

Shaunp - Many thanks for your stoic so useful update with a very realistic approach to the future. I, like many others I suspect, have been swept along by at times shall we say, unbridled enthusiasm. Some may say this concern's PR is sorely lacking and there is probably an element of truth in this but they presented the facts as they saw them without gilding the lily. I am oversubscribed in NYCT and have failed to follow the lessons of a lifetime so it's feet on the ground approach for me now and I will reduce my holding at an opportune time. I feel that February could be a 'good' month but vaccines are growing like topsy as are testing applications from many quarters. As you say, it is difficult to look beyond 2021 so caution and timing is the name of the game now at least for me.

I suspect this is related to GM being granted 1.1 million 'Performance' shares last year.

I read that GM is set to collect a £3.6m bonus and Anthony Dyer their finance director a £1.2m bonus so perhaps they are non too worried about the catastrophic drop in SP!

Correct me if I am wrong but I did not see any mention of our LAMP progress in today's RNS which I suggest could prove a major asset. There appears to be quite a few irons in the fire one way or another so I expect a buoyant RNS soon! ......................................Novacyt is currently developing a LAMP test for COVID-19, including evaluating the tradeoff between cycle time and test performance. The Company expects to launch the product during Q1 2021 with an expected cycle time of 20 minutes or lower. Novacyt’s LAMP offering is designed to be compatible with its q16 and q32 instruments. The Company is
also in active discussions with several potential partners who are seeking support to develop, manufacture and supply LAMP tests for their instrument platforms.

... I hold Synairgen (SNG) whose SP dropped a modest 2.9% today. As many will know, this company are in the final stages of producing a Covid product to be inhaled (at home)to ease breathing difficulties etc and reduce the amount of patients going into hospital. The product, although at final P3 stage, has not yet been approved and this Company's financial situation is a joke compared to NCYT. Nova has taken a pasting these past few days but the fundamentals still stack up so I am holding for sure!

... the result of the potential DHSC extended contract was not announced today. What with the general carnage in the market and the announcement of the new vaccine, the effect of any good news would be nullified. Hopefully the market correction will settle next week and another RNS re contract will be forthcoming from NCYT - we should then see a far more positive picture emerge.

... it's largely a sea of red out there - knock on effect from yesterdays shambles I guess.

I expect another RNS with details of extension to DHSC contract will be announce soon.

SNG whose SP was also badly hit is now back in blue so I suspect NCYT may recover by end of day.

After all the recent market turmoil, during a quiet spell, I sat back with a cup of tea and thought about SNG's potential. Would it be an exaggeration to say that next to all the excellent vaccines that Synairgen could prove to be the most vaunted product in the fight against Covid? If so, a positive P3 result could make International headline news!

... if the NCYT team ever tune into this forum as many must be holding a wad of shares. They must get a few chuckles!

Thought so... sadly down 12% but many shares continue to take a hammering.

Not enough new news to set the heather on fire. Massive fall in US etc late yesterday so I expect our SP to continue to fall today. Wish I had taken some profits earlier but too greedy as usual.
