Still clumsy!

Fundamentally, if I’m wanting to return from eg Spain to the U.K., I have to take an Ag LFT in Spain 3 days before i do, but GOVT stipulates it cannot be an NHS test. I’d like to know why.

It seems that its only the "Graphite" mining applications that have vanished from the portal. Quick searches for "gold" and "diamond" on the portal still list both the active licences and the applications

Looks like the substantive hearing in the Judicial Review is pencilled in for December. Whilst it’s been great to see some recent support for the stock, and real potential exists for ABDX on multiple fronts which could rocket the SP from the stupidly low levels now, I can’t see the DHSC paying up until the JR case is concluded.

I just hope we have sufficient resources/revenue to support the cost base in the meantime.

Could be for any number of reasons, but if it’s performance related you might easily look to the failure of their RSPT, which they’ve been plugging for over a year but which seems to have gained no traction.

We should also remember that both Hughes and Kamani injected further capital at least once into the business, and that Medusa19 Healthcare was successful in its tender for one of the DHSC National Microbiology framework lots.

For info, it looks like Andy White resigned as a Director of all Medusa 19 companies last week, leaving Richard Hughes as the sole remaining Director.

Would be nice to see us in a scientific comparison of this nature.

Based on the results we might say that only 78 tests globally are sensitive enough at CT28 (5/32 x 500). We would be in that group. That might do something for sales…

Only 23/32 picked up the CT25 sample
Only 5 picked up the CT28 sample
1 didn’t even pick up the CT16 sample

Forgot to mention, they confirmed that Healgen was in stock.

So, they have stock of a product they could sell now but instead preferred to promote a product they haven't got for another 2 weeks.

@sangijuelas1, understood! Should probably have mentioned I ordered 25 boxes for my business.

For info, I called Bioserv playing the ignorant today, just to ask them which antigen test from their suite they would recommend.

Straightaway they launched into a spiel about Avacta, that it detects variants, and that its the most accurate they have. They pushed the fact that its UK made/developed and confirmed that their initial stock went with a next delivery in two weeks time.

The only other test they talked about was Healgen. They differentiated it by saying that its been approved for longer, and is available for self test (so no professional needed), but then talked it down by confirming its made in China and doesn't have the same accuracy as affidx.

They explained that Affidx is only available in boxes of 25 but you can order single Healgen tests. No discount unless you order more than 100 boxes.

They finished by very clearly promoting affidx as the one they would go for.

All sounds good - seems to me that we are having no problem selling and that if we were we would make the test available in smaller boxes and get a discount at lower purchase volumes.

I don’t understand why this hasn’t been paid.

But it would explain the recent redundancies (if Glassdoor is to be believed) given the following statement made in the Trading Update: “ If the outstanding and overdue sums are not paid in the short-term, then Abingdon may need to reduce its cost base.”

Interesting to see WNTS just raise the bid to 4.40 without any apparent trading action. Hunting for stock…?

TBH, I can’t see the difficulty in just doing what PEK did and create, or undertake to create, a subsid to hold the licence with the govt granted 16% interest in it. But then I’m far less clued up than others on here.

Re Kabunga, the risk seems to be that we get the ML and he just sells into the news. So people may decide to buy in after the news rather than in anticipation of it. That might explain the lack of volume recently.

As an aside, I noted from the PEK announcement that the approval process appears to have 3 stages

1. Technical committee, which I assume simply verifies that all requirements for approval have been satisfactorily met, ie ESIA, local content plan etc. I’m also assuming this is the committee MB was referring to in his last interview.

2. Cabinet Office, which I assume got involved to sort the FCI issue and ensure the govt gets its slice.

3. Minister of Minerals for formal grant, which I suspect would be a given if 1 and 2 are achieved.

PEK made their announcement after step 2 but before step 3, so the FCI issue may well be a key requirement prior to grant (if my assumptions are correct).

I’ve been trying to understand more about the FCI regulations that came into force in Tanzania last year, and am hoping more knowledgable posters on here might help me out.

I understand the govt is entitled to a minimum of 16% non dilutable shares in any company with a mining licence, which could rise to 50% depending on the level of tax expenditures incurred by the govt on behalf of the company.

For us, these rules came into force before we have the licence. For others like WKT and BKT, they came into force afterwards, and their chat boards on hot copper are are full of discussion about the best ways to get the issue resolved. PEK, I think, simply resolved it by giving govt 16% in the company prior to getting their licence last week.

Is this an issue which might explain the delay in our mining licence approval?
