If we are involved with Vatic then it’s interesting that the National Implementation Manager at Supply Chain Coordination Limited is one of a limited number liking Vatic LinkedIn posts. Why…because that company is owned by the Sec of State for Health and Social Care, and was established to act as the management function of the NHS Supply Chain.

Yep - Hoxton Ventures, the company backing Vatic with Seed funding, also backed Deliveroo in 2013 (and have made 2 other Unicorn investments).

I agree completely that the role of govt in procurement and relations with U.K. DIagnostics Plc stinks.

And, as an aside, they launched a test scanning app last week - the Knownow Scanner, and were conducting usability studies with Hearts FC months ago presumably pursuant to an application for self testing authorisation (which their site says they’ve been seeking for a while).

I certainly don’t think these guys can be ignored.

They’re certainly smaller, but growing. Oh, and backed by the same VC firm that backed Deliveroo in 2013.

My guess is the Vatic Knownow test.

Cant be certain of course..! Other than Vatic they may well still be making Abc19 (Nab tests are getting a lot more focus, particularly in the states), or possibly the Mediport test (a company which claims both ABDX and Bond Digital as partners on its site).

And then there’s possibly more PCRD - which is available through TwistDx (an Abbott company) amongst others.

Fingers in many pies is the beauty of ABDX, particularly at this ridiculously low MCAP.

We knew Cubed were acting as an HR partner for ABDX (and had recruited loads of ABDX staff this year) and that Brenda Hogan (of Cubed) had been appointed ABDX HR Director, but I’ve not seen this web page before;

Those individuals with photos on the page are all existing Cubed staff. Of the ones without a photo, Olly Gardiner is the Ops Director at ABDX, and the others appear to be other HR professionals recently engaged by Cubed I’m assuming, to be on this dedicated team.

Which is odd, because I’d assumed they were subject to lock ins…

I called Matthew Neal at Consilium yesterday to ask why the Aim 26 data hadn’t been updated on the ABDX site. He was surprised, said he thought updates were in motion, and thanked me for bringing it to his attention. Honestly think he should have known it hadn’t been updated, but there you go. Seems like ABDX are still finding there feet with AIM obligations..

Don’t disagree with you PL, but in some respects what we think is irrelevant unless the population embrace testing voluntarily, or are forced too. Rightly or wrongly the current perception is “why do I need to test, especially when I’ve been vaxed...what’s in it for me?”, and that’s not helped by press coverage about tests that “should be thrown in the trash”.

It’s business that should lead here. It will be them that suffer most if an infected staff member or customer causes an outbreak. And of course a much better performing test that instils public confidence will help too ....it just needs to be promoted accordingly.

That rule requires that ABDX disclose on its site “ the identity and percentage holdings of its significant shareholders. This information should be updated at least every 6 months and the website should include the date on which this information was last updated.”

So, ABDX are required to update their site tomorrow to identify any shareholders with more than 3%, and what percentage they own. Might be interesting we’ve had a seller for a while.

We have a stockpile of Innova rubbish.

Wonder if the govt has paid for them...
