Yup I agree and my finger in the air estimate supports a current £2 share price - as capacity is increased that would support a higher share price. So as long as our test makes an appearance then £2 should easily be major support line. Bare minimum.

Depends what the profit is per test. At 10m per month for 12 months the profit per test x .5 could be an estimate extra value per share (10m x 12 / 253m) however probably anything above £1 is built in to that. So £2 profit would be £1 per share (so already built in at 200 SP???) - feel free to rip that apart. What do we expect production volumes to realistically be with BBI ABDX and ODX ?

So Jam Tomorrow is a synonym for pie in the sky. I think we can safely say the LFT will materialise. How much profit and how many orders and for how long is a bit harder to answer at this stage. AVA6000 is going into trials this year. We will have an answer of jam is overflowing by the end of the year but regardless I think some toast is getting licked with some jam this year... even if only LFTs

Really helpful info monkshood - I really enjoy the science discussion. Obviously the trials are there for a reason - and I would hope they would be robust enough. I just had this nagging doubt in my head that if we are using something new like affimers, would the current testing process using spiked artifical samples have any issues given that we are using affimers and could the somewhat vague RNS that didn't directly dispute the failed test at PD report actually be that the test was inconclusive due to something that hadn't been considered. Monkshood - please do continue to contribute here - many here find it very helpful.

i think whatever logistical solutions that get implemented, people need to recognise that this is a way of limiting spread not eliminating it. There will be logistical solutions whether it be a face recognition app or timed entry over a longer period to manage queues or something even more novel.

So I mentioned this earlier that the logistics will be heavily in the news. I think after enough pressure the government will be forced to make some announcements about better LFTs on the way. We should get a boost from that even if not mentioned by name specifically given the recent press (regardless of the flaws there).

I would guess in the region of 4-6 would be a mid single digit and a 3 or 7 would be an outlier in a normal distribution of the term mid-single digit. :0)

absolutely this will go up from here in the medium term - if you consider medium term 4 weeks! Schools will be complaining about testing and I expect the government will have to advise about new tests and we will get a bump.

I absolutely think that fardistanthills could have interpreted the RNS correctly and as intended by Avacta. The problem is that there should have be clearer language used to refute the exact inaccuracies to avoid this kind of uncertainty. Perhaps I will email the new PR company and ask them to get it clarified.

I absolutely agree that
1. there is a test at PD with excellent preliminary results. Where those results came from (Spain or PD) is not specifically clear, the huff article implies the results were at PD but the RNS implies it was the results that was disclosed in the previous RNS.
2. there may or may NOT have been a failed test using artificial samples at PD. The RNS says the reporting in the Huff was inaccurate, but it is not clear if the inaccuracy was the saliva element or the saliva AND the failure that were both in fact INACCURATE.

I think the conversation about why an artifical sample might be different to a real one is an interesting and worthwhile discussion, but it DOES NOT indicate that we think there was a failure. Furthermore, nothing about the LFT being at the forefront of testing plans has been refuted. That is hugely positive for sales in the UK AND overseas. I have half a mind to email avacta and ask them to clarify to put this to bed - if I thought I would get an answer. It is so tedious - especially with a couple of narcisstics (make that three) clogging up the discussion. I feel annoyed that yet again, we have an RNS that has ambiguity - do you think lawyers actually reviewed it?
