Which came first - the chicken or the egg? It is the chart a reflection of sentiment or are these formations causing an element of the sentiment. I’m sure with more volume it would be more the former... but with less liquid shares I’m not so sure. How much of this is configured by MMs based on the chart expectations of more liquid equities? I’m not saying that sentiment doesn’t drive the price direction but as to what point the price goes to - I do think the chicken/egg problem exists with to a degree. If x % of investors of a equity use charts to invest then there will be a self fulfilling prophecy it x is significant. I do think what is different in this share is the ratio of x. I’m sure it is factored in TA to a degree. I’m just not convinced that there would be enough ‘data’ on a downward or upward price movement for MMs to use anything but TA as per a more liquid equity to determine appropriate price movements. Take 9th November as an example.

Ray - there are some big personalities here for sure. You have to give some respect to those that have been invested here for the long term, like PL. He was once very insulting to anyone expressing doubt, but he is much more balanced and very informed and I would say chilled. Many here have spent hours and hours and days and days researching this company and then posters (like yourself) come here purporting (porpoising?) to be invested and are 'concerned' or 'anxious'. There may very well be some concerns as there would be any share... however a poster coming on here spouting things like 'this share will drop 10-15% every day until Al delivers' - well that really deserves the 'twat hat' award. In no way is that constructively challenging or realistic. If you wonder why you and others like you get abuse, then perhaps view your own posting history. You seem to think it is balanced, but it is not. Wyndrum gets somewhat close to balanced, though does slip up from time to time. Perhaps study his posting history and do better.

Why was PL banned? I haven’t been reading everything ... and I thought MattD was far less abusive these days. NDN on the other hand is repeatedly and prolifically arrogant and condescending in a way that can never be construed as humorous. Why doesn’t he get a ban?

My kids school sent out a letter advising that you mustn’t use LFTs with symptoms because they were only designed for asymptomatic testing... that annoyed me. How are we going to avoid another wave if people can get on board.

Did he only tweet that?? Just that info? What about how many were taken, what is the assume prevalence? What is the population that are actively taking the LFTs ... feels a bit akin to the new 'clot causing vaccines'... What is this dude's gripe with LFTs? Did someone stick an LFT somewhere personal to him? Sometimes I think he has ONLY read 'how to lie with statistics'. I seriously don't get how he still has a platform.

Blah - it is the nature of statistics - the chances of you falling into a specific is x percent... the problem with understanding the accuracy is whether there are problems with the method of a specific sample taker and what you are comparing it to... is the CT<25 REALLY the infectious cases. Some of these are hard to measure. However you would hope that a repeat test would give you a significant chance of getting into the positive population if you are in fact positive.

Only a total idiot would argue that no testing is better than catching 50% of asymptomatic cases... he would rather have us all at home sitting on our sofa for another 5 years... it just isn’t gonna happen. He lives in his own little statistical scientific black and white world with no practical approach to dealing with real life. He ignores all the other issues that surface with continued lockdown. Totally blinkered and relishing being public ally negative. A few on here praise him for highlighting Chinese innova but you are a fool if you think he will praise Avacta even if the results are fantastic.

Matt - I agree - until more media coverage there might be an exhausted market. MM's want churn to get their 'fees' from teh spread. I think the volume was a bit low today and they took it down to see if they could get more churn. I made a few shares today...but imagine those just buying in at 270 might be a bit annoyed... to me it was obvious as there was no real news today so no reason why it should go down. And it was obviously going up prior to a pre-thursday RNS. Perhaps a bit of end of year selling for CGT allowance. Possibly a self fulfilling prophecy or a bit of everything.

I’ve been buying in 240s and 250s into SIPP where I’ve added more funds and been selling in my trading account to make most of CGT allowance and releasing cash for ISA allowance as soon as we hit the new tax year. Being ‘fully loaded’ would be a bit silly as as it would imply you are fully invested in only Avacta... fine if just an ISA but I think pensions are usually a larger pot to play with... a lot of my pension is in Avacta but certainly < 40% of invested capital.

They will also be looking for more volumes of trades as churn will make them more £££... so they will move to spur more trades as well. I'm not overly concerned and have bought 2.5k more shares today.

5th April is annoying the end of the tax year. Doesn’t leave much wiggle room for topping up

and I agree the language reported in the article did seem quite fear mongering in terms of deadliness and infectious periodand I wonder if it was out of proportion to actual released data. The words chosen did feel like she was subtly blaming the UK but I guess given the political situation it is unsurprising. If they let vaccines go to waste then that will be on them.

gkb47 - would be interested to know where you read that it was more pathnogenic. I had read it was more transmissable, but not read that it was a longer infectious period.

So this was on BBC - Merkel is saying the Kent virus is more deadly and infectious for longer.... this is not something I had seen before - has anyone read that before?
