If the Innova test gave any positives it had some value for asymptomatic testing. I think what needs to go in the bin is the Innova company itself. They took a Chinese product and marketed it and distributed it and clearly did no or very little clinical evaluations and now are accused of submitted another companies numbers.

The UK gov gave this to the public and concluded that it might have 50% sensitivity with the public. This is why they said it was to be used for asymptomatic testing only. It had value for that purpose to control the spread. I have no issue with that approach. Deeks did… he had followers that were telling their children to refuse testing at school. The guy was totally up accepting of LFTs - he never engaged with arguments about BETTER LFTs… but he may be changing his tune (a little).

What I am most angry about is that right here in the UK we have a few biotechs trying very hard to get QUALITY products to market and clearly they had practical support to get these products to replace these inferior products. If Avacta had the connections Dan Elliot of Innova had - then perhaps we might already be the hands of the UK public. The government should have been assisting with samples and clinical evaluations… they should have have been creating obstacles. I’m not talking backhanded help- I’m talking practical help. CONDOR was a complete shambles.

I’m really disappointed that Avacta haven’t had some airtime - or even surescreen or Mologic … given that we have a brexit gov in power then why on earth would they not be throwing money at them along with some publicity. They should be working WITH these British companies and removing obstacles (whilst maintaining integrity … I’m not talking backhanders - I’m talking about logistics of samples etc)

Well there wasn’t volume of LFTs to purchase and I do think innova was better than nothing given how difficult the PCR testing was a my times (not to mention the many issues around PCR ) but the lack of assistance in pushing through or obtaining samples last summer for BAMS and the sample issue at PD. The government should have done much more to support innovated UK companies. Handcox is a slippery eel indeed. He could have done much better. He may have worked hard - but that doesn’t mean he worked smart or with absolute integrity.

It is just bloody sentiment - saga up covid shares down... it will change the moment cases rise or whatever... probably a build up to the 21st June as well.

Hand*** will be too busy covering up to understand the differences. I think PD have a lot to answer for - if you get not just good but excellent results with fresh samples but frozen is significantly different why wouldn’t you WANT to investigate and mitigate ??? Isn’t that the point of being a scientist? The WHY?

Let’s face facts - this share is a royal pain in the arse but hard to walk away from. The company has so much potential that we all are stuck with each other for a while yet. Some are optimists and some are pessimists naturally ... reasons for being here are varied. Not everyone is trying to tank the share price - but I can see why on an anonymous forum there is suspicion like this. Personally take comfort for Wyndrum’s presence as I see him as a natural pessimist - should we get to a point where we are only left with a bunch of fanatic cheerleaders and a set of once cheerleaders turned sour then I know I will have held on too long. Even if there are a set trying to bring it lower - within that set will be those that recognise the potential upside and benefits of getting in lower. Huge potential but the lost opportunity on other shares during this long wait is surely something we can all agree on?

I think I probably got it on Amazon or online pet shop perhaps over 10 years ago... but looks like you can get duoxo on Amazon now but might not have the Avacta logo on it... but hard to tell as it might be on the back.

You pay a consultant to do something they have expertise in yes - but you DON'T walk away from it and think all is on track. You get updates and see the the final documentation. That is not good business practice. You don't inform the market that it has been 'submitted' but omit that it was submitted to a 3rd party who will then in turn submit to authorities. There is a lot of cheerleading on this BB (myself included) but this incident is probably the one I'm most angry with over the last 14 months of my investment here. Granted it isn't the most damaging in the bigger picture, but for it to have come out indirectly from Stickystock on twitter is nearly unforgivable. Get some orders and all will be forgiven, but as you say, wake up call and hopefully lessons learnt.

I'm sure Al is supremely p*ssed off - but he should be annoyed at himself and those around him as well. They should have demanded updates. Who knows maybe they did. Regardless, they should have had someone working along side the 3rd parties and also chasing up MHRA. It just isn't good enough to assume that some 3rd party has it in 'hand'. Someone on twitter to posted market sensitive information that they went and refuted the next day. Ok maybe not technically the avacta LFT, but none the less how the heck did one individual get that priviledged information? Now he is back on twitter almost demanding an apology. He is deluded, what he did was wrong and he was an idiot if he didn't comtemplate what exactly what going to happen in all respects (being called a forger or the share price falling). Rant over - must move on but I sincerely hope lessons have been learnt.

Because Stickystock already did the damage last week. It isn't a failure of the LFT - just a failure of 3rd Party AND Mologic AND Avacta. I'm annoyed. Responsibility of the submission might be legally down to the 3rd Party - BUT there was a responsibility to check the 3rd Party had done their role properly and the fact that no one thought to check is pretty bad. I'm sure the lessons are learnt now but I think investors have a right to be mad right now.

However, with a 3rd wave on the way in the UK (and likely elsewhere) I think there is plenty of market and Avacta need to get on the ball and apply pressure to any 3rd parties to get on with their job. A confirmation RNS about the Delta variant would be a step in the right direction as well, though given previous communications I think where the affimers bind to isn't the part of the s-protein that is mutating. Correct me if I'm wrong.

In fact last November I was hugely concerned that they wouldn’t track transmission with vaccinated individuals fully ... and here we are and we really need to know and we better step up the 2nd vaccinations pretty quick.
