It is a bit odd isn’t it. Do you think enough pressure has been applied to gov? I was just thinking all those very expensive LFT manufacturing equipment purchased by the gov are just sitting around collecting dust. That is what really gets me. The product that could have been produced had we had less gov ineptitude. Not to even mention the lost tax to the government… the whole thing is arse about face.

sorry Indy. Just catching up… agree the tone is beyond what is warranted. There are always a few actually enjoy trolling. It is most unpleasant and I have chosen to spend a lot less time here - still heavily invested but somewhat derisked. I was desperate to retired early - hugely frustrated but at the end of the day there is more to life than money and markets. My parents who are very elderly haven’t seen their grandkids for 2 years. I’m so frustrated that the world is no further forward with squashing this covid mess and we haven’t really unlocked so that family’s living in different countries can hug. peace back at you.

Huge amount of new negative posters which is always a sign of an attack on a share. It might not have a huge impact on the SP as some say… but how can you prove it. It might cause 100k weaker PIs to sell up at a loss and that might just be bought back by Jupiter…. Sure the SP could be go down more … but it also could go up more on positive news. I’m not selling here - yes I cut down my exposure before the end of June but am not going to sell here.

That is true but will it be announced? Do we know much about the trials? Numbers / whether they know much about what they are having (could we find information about patient experience outside of RNS)

So interesting question and there was a former market maker on here a good while back and I wanted to ask more questions as I’m quite curious. My guess is that they make do some research to add to algorithms and models they have built based on data they have access to… which might include the obvious buys and sells and possibly quotes etc. Howver during vaccine gate in the 9th November what triggered me to check the news was a sudden uplift in travel shares… I looked and saw the news and did an immediate sell for some covid shares I held in a trading account. Within 4-5 minutes I couldn’t sell at all and had I not been signed in already I doubt I would have managed to sell any (probably only 20% of my holding anyway) but my point is they clearly aren’t necessarily hot on it - or there is a lag between being able to technically adjust the bid offer prices.

Even if Avacta’s didn’t react that way to acids, I’m sure they could get a pen and make the lines if they really wanted to… some kids are idiots… question is can Avacta make a test to identify idiots? I looked at the last voting results and if we got everyone to strategically vote for Libdem (next highest votes) that didn’t vote Tory the we would be able to kick out the useless and vile Tory MP we have (who has previously squandered public funds in a cabinet role)

I’m gonna say no… big article in guardian about kids ending in A&e in respiratory distress - not covid but another bug doing the rounds. My kid had croup for a week and a dad at the preschool with underlying health conditions had to be put into a coma due to febrile seizures and put on a ventilator. He is out of the coma now but praying he doesn’t pick up covid there. Another neighbour fell off roof and was life flighted to hospital where he picked up covid and then died :(. We can’t stop bugs altogether but I think if you are genuinely feeling unwell it would be wise to avoid people - with or without covid pandemic. However completely agree we need better tests. Sigh.
