We all need a laugh but seriously? Have we no interest in putting the questions in anymore? WHether they get answered or not might be telling but only if they are submitted in good time.

Interesting - my 4 year old is currently off preschool due to a nasty respiratory illness - with croup symptoms. We all got a PCR as soon as the coughing started and we are all negative.

The government have installed manufacturing equipment with ODX and GAD no? The government will undoubtedly expect a reduced cost due to that. The 8B tender worked out at £6.67 per test. I am not certain we can charge the EU significantly more - but I would guess maybe another £1 per test max.

What will really annoy me is if we find out that that equipment is just sitting there gathering dust all this time that there are excellent tests ready to be produced. It would be an absolute waste of resource.

However whatever is being produced at GAD on their own equipment or at BBI or Abingdon will be available to sell to EU and ROW.

What I think we need to ask MPs is why haven’t we seen a UK produced LFT yet given they have purchased all this equipment. There is no way that innova is better than these tests and clearly PD are incompetent.

When do we need the questions for Monday in by?

With stock still available they would have to extend for a period until a new supply can be built up.... would have to extend EUA otherwise how could they send out the stuff they already have. They would have extended long if more stock was going to be purchased.

Will there is a huge spectrum of people here… I’m not surprised there is frustration in waiting but I do agree people need to get a grip.

Scaredy-cat- I understand why you would want to clarify and I think that was my assessment when Robbo came out with it though I was a bit more colourful. I think it was just a bit odd to post it on here - but perhaps some feel they have formed a bond here. Unfortunately many feel there are darker souls at work here… so it isn’t the kind of place where you can post stuff like this even if the intention is to be helpful…. It was always going to attract criticism. On a side note I actually agree shock) with NDN over the Deeks thread. We can’t use Deeks to support Avacta… this guy would rather we all sit at home until the virus is eradicated than use a good LFT. innova is a cr*ppy product and it should be now replaced by something better but I don’t think you can promote Deeks and expect to not burnt later on.

Well - I do agree there has to be some progress. I also think there would be a significant update to present and that is why the date was chosen. I would hope that TT would be done at BBI at least and we might have more definite capacity numbers.

I think a lot of people are angry here from a UK citizen point of view - not just an Avacta shareholder point of view. PD should have been investigating issues not stonewalling. They should be improving processes not digging their heels in ‘computer says no’ fashion. Even getting Mologic’s test through would have improved the situation with asymptomatic testing. UK have been stuck with really inferior tests whilst at least 2 excellent tests have been clogged up in a ‘not fit for dealing with a pandemic’ system. Unacceptable.

If the link is Medusa then how in the ‘know’ would they actually be Scaredy? Contracts would be NDA’d and I wouldn’t imagine anyone giving a third party retail/ logistics partner the low down on contracts. Someone from Medusa asks - hey Al - how are the contacts going??? What is he gonna say? Umm ahhh … what have I said in the RNS… oh yeah in discussions with Europe … but I haven’t announced deals yet. He already said discussions with UK gov were slow. He hasn’t said anything more than the RNS and someone could easily interpret it as Robbo posted. Either way Robbo is still weird for posting this here.

This is the same Robbo that turned up to the LFT user testing… kind of thinking there are some strange people posting very strange things on here. Why I’m only realising this now - that is worrying me. I thought I could filter the dross naturally but … I find myself strangely entertained by it. Why on earth would you post anything like this on a BB… but why would sticky do it either??? Regardless… doesn’t sound like the ‘mate’ is particularly in the ‘know’

It is clear that Porton Down is inefficient and not effective at accurately assessing LFTs. They appear to be unable adapt their processes to assessment issues - which is incredibly poor if part of the process causes the samples to be significantly different to real world clinical samples.

Perhaps the question needs to go directly to AS. 'What exactly has gone on at Porton Down' and 'What exactly has the delay(s) been over the last 9 months?'
