LSE BUY/SELL Data21 Aug 2020 13:28
Anyone know what's up with the LSE buy/sell data. Appears to be miles out from the price action from what I can see and they've come back with a rubbish response when queried and were basically saying it all checks out.
"To provide an order of magnitude of the discrepancy as observed by the information provided, I have calculated the following from 11:54:08am GMT, using a starting point of a 2000 share quantity (inclusive) described as sell trade:
1,339,095 shares bought
440,595 shares sold
1,779,690 shares traded total.
Of the total traded volume from this time, the sell volume reflects 25% of the total.
And put in another way, the buy volume equates to 300% of the sell volume.
Assuming an element of descrepency for spreads and different buy/sell prices I am still unable to find explanation in how this correlates even closely with the price action, especially when we consider that the total trading volume for the day was 2,495,00 and that this was at least partially split between buy and sell if we take the price action to be representative of this.
The service you are providing is either inaccurate, misleading or the result of an unclear additional factor. "
Sorry it's a bit long winded but prob most concise way to explain without introducing more subjectivity.
