I did think a few years ago, Baronday divesting most of his holding was premature, with what we had in the pipeline and amazed that serious money didn't aquire shares in March/April this year. I still don't quite understand Mr Hardy, who to all accounts is a Midlands small company owner, still having an 11% holding and has not relinquished any shares at all. Even through covid. I can understand GRG and BP considering this a long term holding but maybe not to far out - post BKR.
Fair amount of capex to be spent shortly, so perhaps that is holding back the SP. Columbus another £14m next year, £5m to Total in December, R3 drill £11m and if successful another £16m to BP 90 days afterwards. Eyewatering figures, so lets hope gas sustains or increases its price - acquiring another asset may just be a tad longer.
