They should have considered a cross purchase of BP Shares pre christmas at 195p - mine are showing a very healthy return at over 300p and they could have swapped them !!!

I'm sure Serica Energy will be running the slide rule over this asset again as they likely walked away last time due to the price requirement. I would surmise they may be preferred bidder but its all in the price. LBE are likely to be more interested in Norwegian Assets they have knowledge of - providing they become available. In the mean time the Directors will "earn" their salary as time goes by.

Fantasise away, I was thinking on the same lines. Perhaps we also have a leaky ship with news on R3 operations adding some more sucrose. Commodity price rise certainly helping us going into tortoise warp speed but a new II is always welcome. As Mr Hardy is apparently a Midlands Company owner I have always wondered why he hasn't at least taken his initial purchase cost out of his holding. Back on track - my latest tranche of 50,000 SQZ is up 25% as we speak - then again its illusional until you take your profits - I like tortoises.

Lets please curtail any thoughts on a take over - I've lost to many good investments on the cheap to want yet another to disappear. Lets trust in the expertise of our company and R3 coming on line this quarter. Its a catalyst for the next leg up and getting nearer. I can wait for any potential target to come our way the nearter we get to 100% BKR.

I just can't bring myself to purchase JOG Dick, as you well know I had 1 million shares in Trap Oil that gave me 10,000 JOG that I sold at a pretty good price a while back. A £70k lost cause. Did look recently when it was bumping along in the eighties and knew it was a good buy - emotion eh!!
Have a very large holding of SQZ with an average that was in the low pence until I have added sub 100p, so can't complain. As MAverick mentioned I have trading tranches in the 130-140p range, which has been a bonus but now back fully invested. Enjoy your Christmas all - this tortoise will have its day. Now back to looking at JOG!!

Had way to many of my E & P taken over to want Serica to be got on the cheap. Nautical Petroleum, Faroes Petroleum, Ithaca to name a few. Anything sub 100p is buying territory for myself, so lets see where the next few days takes us. Each to their own, but I wouldn't be holding for the last couple of years without the conviction that we will surpass the previous hiogh's

All it needs is for you to put some bunce into SQZ shares. I've done enough to support the SP, so lets be having you. I'm also aware of a number of my Investment Trusts purchasing and placing shares in Treasury - if we are not going to purchase something, lets reduce our share holding.

Need to be grateful that SQZ doesn't hide behind "no news" like a number of E & P on AIM guys. Been in this industry 40 years, so its refreshing to get an update that spells it out. R3 always was going to be Q1 and I suspected Namibia would be let go - although disappointed as I thought their was a ploy by Bp going on there.
So works ongoing, next news in February!!

My resolve has certainly been tested this year Mav. I have always looked at sub 100p as an opportunity to buy and did to the tune of 50,000 around 90-95p. I'm beginning to think the MM's know my trading range for a small part of my SQZ holding as we seem to be in a very tight trading range at present.
Feeling smug buying Bp at 195p but this cash being tied up limited my investment.
Unfortunately R3 was always going to be Q1 and is acting as a negative at the moment. Any hydrated up well is going to be a complex completion so as this goes on it is acting as a damper. Overall we are in a period of spend, before we reap the benefits and as well all know, its spreadsheets that analysts and accountants pour over.
I like tortoises but I forgot they hibernate at times. GLA

Not impressive selling our holding at 453p when a revised bid comes in. LTH but now considering bailing

I bought 10,000 Bp shares at 195p and now feel foolish in not selling 100,000 SQZ and investing in Bp instead of using cash float. It was a no brainer but I'm still fixated with SQZ !!!!!! Its waining.

I despair sometimes when I look at some shares reaching for the sky on pure speculation, whilst others, in particular SQZ reside in the doldrums. So with a timeframe of positive news coming ever nearer why am I seeing no real continuing purchases? Okay I piled in again in the low nineties with an additional 54,000 shares, so I just wonder if other LTH are like myself maxed out and we are reliant on news to bring newbies into the fold. A profit is a profit you might say, but a lot better back within the 130-140p range prior to Columbus coming on line. R3 I have my fingers crossed for a January RNS.

I'm afraid that only news will move this share - good or bad, otherwise we are in a holding pattern. Whilst ever the optimist, R3 is not a slam dunk due to the complex nature of the intervention and any news likely to be in the new year. I note ECO have renewed their licences in Namibia, so it would be good to know where we stand with our Lüderitz licences. Otherwise we are all at the mercy of the beckoning silence.

That seems to be a perpetual mode for me!! Luckily piling in to BP at 195p has given me a warm cosy feeling - just a shame SQZ didn't reciprocate and purchase a holding in BP.

Was more tongue in cheek Newk. I bailed out of PMG a number of years ago at the princely sum of 60p, but kept £5k's worth which has been a disappointment - luckily at a small profit after holding for quite a few years. Seems to be a Tom Cross toy to play with in his dotage.
Skerryvore tie up with ourselves but to me Perth sour product is a nail in the coffin.

Perhaps we should take the pain away from LTH of PMG and invite Tom Cross into the fold 50p a share should do it
