a couple of Investment trusts having holdings in Serica. HOT has a £2.3m holding and LWI has a £0.56m holding. Must have been a drag this year!!!! Duh I hold them as well.

Lets be fair, all companies pay for drilling services -that expertise is bought. Perhaps we need the drilling company to put some skin in the game. Like all I'm disappointed yet again, but thats the nature of this business - lets hope Serica bought a cross holding in Bp at sub 200p which will offset the additional costs - thats where my SQZ share sales and dividends went - mind they had trouble drilling a while back !!

My own buy signal has always been around the 100p mark, which has not been realised, even with the continuing saga of R3. I see no end to this until July but expect us to stay around this level until results. We go ex dividend next month so perhaps further buying coming.

Feel your pain molokai, I have a similar problem at SQZ, although well in profit, that have been in hibernation for 3 years!! Opportunely I did offload half of my ECO at 160p, and kept 30,000 which strangely enough, were purchased early days at around this price. My gut tells me that now is the time to add, so hopefully your car is in the bag. Now lets lose that horrible spread of 7%.

good see to you are still keeping a watching brief here. I'm afraid the hiatus here has led to this board degenerating to a degree. I understand the angst from people that bought into Serica above 120p, but their have been several times where the SP has dropped to around the 100p mark, with last year dropping even lower due to Covid, that was a bell ringing steal and everyone should have loaded up - I have on several occasions.
Excitement has been available in a number of O&G shares over the past 12 months, not least BP sub 200p, i3e at 4p, JOG sub 90p and even PMG last week - you just have to accept that Serica timeframe goes to Jan 22 and go dormant.
Trust you added a few Dick, or astutely traded .

Agree fully with what you say there Rellim, my trading is just to keep my interest whilst the tortoise comes out of hibernation. Been here since Conan drill in the Irish Sea - good company, good team and i am looking forward to another dividend - that will give me a tidy sum to play with and timed for reinvestment no doubt. GL and hang on in for the next three uplifts!!

I suspect (shrewd guess) that R3 drilling operations will be completed by the above date and can finally bring to an end the drilling operations. From a previous communique, bringing R3 into operation will need added time - after all the tree is over 20 years old and may need a little TLC. A tick in the box or a kick in the ... if drilling still ongoing!! Lets make up for being my worst investment stock this year apart from dead duck HUR.

Intrigued still why Mr Hardy has never offloaded any shares and watching with interest to see if any other II has been mopping up the GRG shares.

Feel your pain Gareth, as I am still massively overweight, although I also reduced in the 130-140p range and stuck back into Investment Trusts. It was always on the cards that we would enter a consolidation phase before any further leg up but the finish line is fast approaching on a number of factors.
In my case, I wouldn't have accumulated the amount of shares I have, if I had sold all - so I still consider it a very good risk/reward scenario. Hold fast and ramble away.

I look in occasionally to see how LBE is faring, having been a LTH of over 10 years in FPM. My perception was that this management was very good at developing a company, but woeful at rewarding shareholders. Ergo DNO getting the nod from II's.
Having bought on the dips over the years and traded a portion, I can't complain but for myself its a watching brief as I imagine any funding will involve a multiplication of the shares in issue at present. GLA and you never know they may do better than PMG

I'm beginning to despair of the rumour mill gossip now permeating this board, brought about probably by the lack of concrete information.
R3 being an existing completion into an optimum position in the reservoir, makes perfect sense to bring online. Indeed Bp were in the process of doing this prior to BKR. The rig is presently running 7" casing from the last information having cleared the wirelining junk and hydrate formation.
Knowing how things go offshore, I personally wasn't expecting any news on completion until April. No news means we are progressing - end of - back to sleep now for this LTH who did at one stage own 0.5% and happy to hold 0.25%.

Last 4 Serica drills have been dry - CoS is what it is and not the same as purchasing assets - year three for me.

Hope it takes my card - in this climate keep a weather eye on our Chancellor and any carbon tax he thinks is a good idea

I think you need to retract that statement after looking at the likes of PMG, FPM now the LBE gang, BLVN, SEY , CHAR, to name just a few past and present.
This management has strived over a decade to build this company and has never sat still.
Give it a tad more research young man.

Lets be honest, all investments don't go up in a linear fashion and like all LTH here I am feeling the pain of affection and loyalty to SQZ. I have added when sub 100p and have a substantial holding of over 0.25%. You could say its been a lousy investment over the last 12 months, as my tortoise Investment trusts show:
SQZ - down 13%
MINI - up 87%
NAS - up 29%
FEET - up 30%
OIT - up 33%
My continued holding of SQZ is due to its capacity to outperform later this year - providing no covid outbreak on the Bruce that shuts it in. My timeframe for R3 is sometime Q2, it will happen as well as Columbus and the spend stops. Quick rise to 130p is now evaporating due to traders realising profits methinks - GLA - not that I know anything

at the level of detail Serica has divulged in regard to R3 on the presentation. Its refreshing to see a company defining the works ongoing.

Thats my tortoise - steady as she goes with a bleary eye open for the next move.

Tad early for R3 news methinks. Lets get some good corporate news and then some more good news on R3. Tortoise is having a nap at present but alls well.
