Ive been there a few times with OCDO over recent years…. Hold it out and you’ll make a profit…eventually.

What I’ve noticed with this share is when you think it’s safe to dip in your toe- it rips the nail straight off!

I’m holding off until next week- too many unknowns at the moment.

South Africa is a broken country- regular electricity blackouts, billions of $ spent on coal imports and an election looming.

Namibia is now sitting on billions of barrels- SA needs to get Total/Qatar on side.

According to Gil we have nine companies vying to farm in to Orinduik and target spud in 12-18 months..... I'd expect that to be slightly delayed but 3/4b drilled sooner.....

In all honesty I cannot see us being above mid-teens on first spud. We need positive Guyana news and we need to hit Oil off Namibia.

Risk appetite amongst the Aim brigade for drilling is subdued to say the least!

I’m a bit confused by this….. In 2019 Westmount announced that it entered into unconditional agreements to acquire an additional 313,500 common shares in Cateleya Energy Corporation ("CEC") at a price of USD $10 per share, for total consideration of US$3,135,000 million (equivalent to GBP £2,582,372)….

But WTE mcap today with all the various investments in many companies is still only at £2m…

So, WTE either overpaid for CEC or the rest of the portfolio is worth zilch?

Maybe someone out there can unconfuse me?

Hi Michael, yes I saw that- I’ve still got a few shares leftover from the old days… I think £100 a share will see me break even…. Not too far to go from the current 0.20p…. :-/ atb.

Sws…. Thanks for replying….. the reason I stopped adding was because the SP goes down after I buy! (Apart from the 250k last week). I’ve got a few million shares valued today at roughly half what I paid by average over the years.

I know placings are part of the growth for greenfield mining stocks, so I presume most of us marketeers now wait on the sidelines for a bumper rns ready for the next placing?

I suppose the question we ask ourselves is why isn't the market taking a similar stance on the valuation. If the company would state in an rns they value our cricket players at $, surley that would give the SP a leg up....?

Lordchaos..... you're causing turmoil! Last week you said we should be 2p and now you're peddling £3..... I'm loving the optimism!

Ive mentioned a few times on here I think the company should put a value against the targets and mines it has- it would really assist some of us laymen/women with our own theoretical valuations. On that note- can you put your calculations on here that gave you your 2-2.5p valuation?

My mistake. Company states no interim dividend announcement.

So I presume we’ll get no dividend until Toliara is up and running? 2 years??

No mention on company site but Stock events state: Base Resources Limited (BSE.LSE) has announced a dividend of GBX1.1 with an ex date of March 10, 2024 and a payment date of March 30, 2024......

Probably get confirmation this week
