It’s pretty much across the market for me right now….. currently about £105,000 down on various shares- spread across 38 companies.
250k shares in Eco avg 28p
Thank goodness none of it is on margin so it’s a waiting game.
I’ve written off this year on my ftse/aim/main market shares….. property saves the day again!
Reliable Gil to the rescue?!?!?!
Redwineday...... agreed. The Sp is woeful. Just when I think Im topping at the near bottom- its drops again. I recall Gil saying the drop to 17p was overdone...... and now we are touching historic lows! I'll remain invested but its beginnig to hurt!
Well thats not probably in his manifesto! It seemed a bit of a lifeline having the sale and leaseback, but the market hasn't reacted adversly to the news this afternoon... so lets see what transpires in the coming weeks.
Oh jeez...I just double checked, my average isnt 6p its 140,000 @ 10.40p!.. I'm in for a long long ride with this one..... and I want to get off- its not fun!
Hopefully we are in for a run of news because my previous post on here prior to today was in February and we were at 2.55p then.....
I am sure we are all in the same boat… I’ve accumulated a lot of COBR shares over these past few years and my average is sat around 2p. To average down closer to the current price will mean buying a few more million shares and I’m not doing that…. So it’s a case of sitting on the fence for as long as possible!
If it worked for Humpty Dumpty hopefully it’ll work out for me!
Time scale… I’ll stick it out for another 3 years
This share is bonkers! I had some last year and got stuck with them when the manipulating swines dragged it to under £4, fortunately I was able sell recently on the back of the court case for a fair profit-and said to myself that’s it- not for me-
It’s ftse100 ffs- not some aim crud! what the heck is going on??
I can see them dragging this to under £5 again…so being a greedy so and so I’ll probably then buy… but I feel sorry for any lths of ocdo- it’s a mind deck…one day it will come good but blimey what a rollercoaster.
GLA!
My general trading philosophy..... not aimed at THG btw!
The Greater Fool Theory is the idea that, during a market bubble, one can make money by buying overvalued assets and selling them for a profit later, because it will always be possible to find someone who is willing to pay a higher price. An investor who subscribes to the Greater Fool Theory will buy potentially overvalued assets without any regard for their fundamental value. This speculative approach is predicated on the belief that you can make money by gambling on future asset prices and that you will always be able to find a "greater fool" who will be willing to pay more than you did......
Manc39..... I just don't see anything in THG or our CEO where PI interests have been a priority.@
Ive been investing/gambling on the stock market for years and Im yet to find a CEO who has pi interests at heart! Their function is to sell us their shares. Hopefully we sell them on inthe most painless way as possible....
I'm Still a LTH here, as a family we've been buying HOTC chocolates since the original phone ordering days..... and bought a fair few of shares over the years for my wife... so I'm a fan of the company...
I dont really follow the logic of each store being a % of the mcap. The company has a reach far bigger than its own retail stores, ie concessions and online. That said, I think being a niche operator, which HOTC is, makes expanding the brand tricky. They failed at cosmetics and the rabot restaurant sadly died. Ive stayed at the St Lucia Hotel and its superb but not much room for growth on that side of the business as its only got a handful of rooms.
I'm not sure what the target of vodka is all about?
So, they start hot chocolate for home use via the velvetiser sachets and Hot chocolate and ice cream in stores- all ok.
But what will drive this company back upto £5? Enter the snack bar mass market?? I doubt they could compete on price with Mondalez etc and I very much doubt they have the advertising budget of the bigger rivals.
Maybe its time for Angus to enter the magical world of Wonka and start a chocolate factory tour via the golden ticket... otherwise I see a buyout at some point by the Americans.
One final point- shareholders are not rewarded in any way for our loyalty- about time we got a voucher to use in store!
Chocs Away!
4c divided is about right- Leaving plenty of cash in the coffers.
We may see the SP dip for a while but with Madagascar news to come I’ll continue to hold & will buy more with the divi payout…
‘talks are continuing with the Madagascar government over fiscal terms for the Toliara project, which Base Resources believes is "the best undeveloped minerals sands project in the world".
