The real question is are they going to be the first oil company to do a runner and leave the tax payers and the rate payers to pick up the cost? They don't have the money to abandon a production site and a drilling site. And who would lend them the money to do so when they have almost zero income now, and for the foreseeable future?

So with the buying opportunity at this price to multi bag back to 20p is huge.

Thanks for highlighting Mirasol and making such a strong investment case.

With oil rising over $70pb the margin in Turkey and potential production certainly justifies a 20p target price.

Trolls busy this morning now they've got down off the rig and let UKOG get on with reperfing and increasing OIL flow rate out of HH-1.

With the new set-up and the pumps working to their specified capacity we could expect to see a production rate of 500+ bopd by then end of this week.

Patrick - there was one day missing and one day reported as very low - the missing day was filled in in the last set of numbers posted on Monday - it was pretty much the same as we'd seen before.

BP is correct however - it is very early days with a complex piece of kit. I'd also expect them to improve the numbers from current but it's stupid to look at a single day, every day. Over a month you get a feel for where this may be heading - but I doubt they'll ever get anywhere near the forecast CPR rates - the challenge now is to make it to the CPR reserves - which will be over a longer period than forecast.

Not sure where any significant , game changing, upside will come form tho'. A better investment than UKOG, Star or UJO but .................... Onshore UK is never going to succeed with current Govt policies - it struggled for 20 years under much less onerous conditions. Celtique, Northern, Alba, Europa, Rathlin, INEOS, Portland, Third, Dart, Cuadrilla, Midmar .... it's a very long list of failures only Egdon kept their head above water

I think James you are overreacting. Yes production was down but that's the decline curve - which is and has been very steady on Saltfleeby - production drops by 0.07% a day since May 2023 - so effectively from 9 mmscfd to around 4 mmscfd

The compressor is an attempt to rebase the production. They'll be lucky to get anywhere near 9 mmscfd again but, as discussed, it should eventually be above where it is right now. Then it will start declining again.

ANGS challenge is to make money. Our risk is that a) it all goes to the financiers b) they blow it on some stupid ventures as IKOG & UJO have done rather than return it to the shareholders directly.

This is never going to be a massive gas field - it just doesn't have the reserves. So chances of a buy in are ver low

The RNS says production is 20% lower Q1 cp last year - look like the compressor is adding about the same right now.

Should do better going forward but clearly they need to address the liquids issue going forward

You're getting the shares far too cheap right now. We'll be over 1p again getting close to drill results.

See the build up and drilling of Horse Hill and Broadford Bridge...... huge numbers of investors will be returning here shortly just like past events. Get 'em while you can!!!

Abstract

The ability to attribute earthquakes to specific causes is challenging. The 2018–2019 earthquake

swarm in Newdigate, Surrey, Southern England, generally coincides with local oil extraction at

Horse Hill, located just 5–10 km away. Nevertheless, it remains debated whether these

earthquakes were triggered by oil extraction or whether they were coincidental. Due to the onset

of seismic activity before major oil extraction and the lack of a clear correlation between seismic

activity and extraction volume, it has been suggested that the earthquakes may be coincidental.

However, we show that time delays between fluid pressure changes and concomitant seismic

activity are common in nature. Further, we develop a simple Bayesian Machine Learning time

series model to test whether different units respond differently to oil extraction. We find that

extraction from the Portland units at Horse Hill may produce earthquakes with a delay of a few

days. In contrast, extraction from the Kimmeridge units may produce fewer earthquakes, but

with a delay of tens of days. We also show that the occurrence of earthquakes before extraction

might be related to surface works. This simple model reproduces the overall trend in seismicity.

We are unable to rule out coincidental seismic activity, but our analysis suggests that these

earthquakes maybe triggered by Horse Hill activity.

then nothing for 11 months until they slid out an update "Consequently, to remove the need for expensive off-site water disposal via tanker and to also help maximise oil recovery by supporting reservoir pressure, HH-2z will now be reconfigured, subject to regulatory consent, into a water re-injection well as soon as practicable"

We've NEVER had any forward production guidance at any time - a unique occurrence in AIM oilers in my experience

There is nothing wrong with stripper well ops - but you never make big money at it.

I've never been a big fan of UK companies operating onshore USA/Canada - what do we bring to the party? Other than cash.....

Some of these small outfits have been drilling for decades in these plays - we just don't have the knowledge base to out-perform them. The list of failures is very long - all the way back to Northern in my investing career....

In other words they haven't run it for 24 hours. Oldest trick in the game for AIM oilers is a short test "which equates to..." - see ANGS and UKOG for examples
