regretfully the oil patch is full of examples where spending money did NOT lead to an increase in production - think Hurricane....... or UKOG

It looks as if they may have got a small increase in production - its still early days - but that only takes them back to where they were a few months ago. This is an old, and quite complex field. And its operated by a company whose track record of delivering work on time, on cost and achieving their targets is not wonderful.

The one thing you can be sure is that the financiers know all about it and they don't intend to take a bath

With stripper wells they may switch them on and off, depending if the storage is full or some work is needed. You don't necessarily want to go to every well every month. So variations in production are common

However the RNS 's from UJO are really pushing the limits of reality

Israel has faced regular oil boycotts for over 70 years - long long before they had any production themselves. They have had no problem in finding people to sell them oil - even from OPEC and even from Arab countries.

It makes zero sense to ship oil all the way from the FI to Israel

note the old AIM dodge - they produce for an short time, a few hours max, and extrapolate the rate to a big figure. ANGS & UKOG are past masters but UJO/Rathlin have previous as well.

Star Energy has also not renewed its licence PEDL235 in West Sussex and Surrey, which included the Godley Bridge gas discovery. In 2019, the company, then known as IGas, told local people in the Surrey village of Dunsfold that it planned to drill for oil and gas in their neighbourhood. It said it had signed a lease on land north of the village.

Earlier that year, UK Oil & Gas applied to drill for gas in the neighbouring licence PEDL234, also near Dunsfold.

No site work has been carried out on either scheme. Today’s news emerged in Star Energy’s annual accounts, for the year ending December 2024. Star Energy said it was rationalising its portfolio of exploration licences. It said it planned to abandon less productive sites and relinquish early-stage exploration and shale licences.

It's really complex - they now have almost no income. They have legally binding commitments of over a million pounds. Their previous contacts have clearly decided not to put up more cash. Any accountant trying to find a way of declaring they're a going concern must be going crazy. The share price was in the gutter.

The BoD seems to have disappeared - Ocelot is holding the fort but even he/she seems to be a bit unnerved. Maybe wondering f the April invoice will be paid?

Balcombe never produced anything like a commercial rate when tested by Conoco , nor by Cuadrilla nor when tested by ANGS.

HH never went commercial in the Kimm. Broadford Bridge didn't work. No-one has ever produced commercial volumes from the Kim in the Weald in over 60 years of trying.

Attempting to decide how successful the work has been by looking at a few days production is extremely unwise. Even if we had the detailed data of everything that has been done it still doesn't really help. You need at least 30 days of figures to see any meaningful trends - in fact 3- 6 months is what is normally used by reservoir engineers.

I realise this doesn't help the day traders but that's the facts.

Absolute nonsense - they left because the oil price went into free fall- that's why Premier couldn't afford to develop Sea Lion and why no-one else managed a farmout - except Argos and they basically gave the licence to Noble in exchange for some back costs and a small carry. And even Noble dropped out eventually.

Navitas moved early as the oil price started to recover.

FIG have a good reputation for trying their damnedest to get SL going while protecting the Islands position, Compare them to the UK Govt & the N Sea for example. Or Ireland which has banned any new activity - or Italy who reneged on the deals they'd signed........
