No system publishes accurate Buy/Sell information. This site rates it as a sell (red) if your TRADE Price is lower than the mid price in the published range - if your TRADE price is above the mid point of the quoted range it's rated as a BUY (Blue)

It's really useless - why they persist with it is beyond everyone................ and before you ask there is no way you can actually tell the difference - you'd need access to the order books of every trader all the time and that isn't possible for anyone - not even the Stock Exchange

Preston New Road was not a decent test of modern fraccing technology - it was stop start and the volumes used were pathetic by US standards - and Cuadrilla couldn't run a p*** up in a brewery

Penguins - from my reading I understand that propant is meant to keep the rocks open after fraccing whilst allowing oil and gas to flow through - lots of tiny round spheres of non-reactive material

it's never been tried over here in the onshore I believe but that would presumably be a possible answer

IBUG - I know and right now you effectively can't frac anything at any depth in the UK - Boris needed the votes for his election.

What I was suggesting was that, in the USA, similar formations WOULD be fracc'd at- anywhere and at any depth. That is probably the key to unlocking the billions of barrels in place in the Weald.

I doubt it will ever happen short of a total collapse of other oil sources - UKOG , ANGS et al have to luck out with natural fractures - and the ominous silence from Guildford suggests even that is not enough

I don'think there IS much wrong with HH1 - except they can't seem to get more than 300 bopd out of it

Primula - you seem to be in love with Allen D Howard - he's part and parcel of the BoD , he's been working for HHDL and UKOG for several years - I really don't think he's at all independent. The silent Mardon-Taylor at least comes from another shop.

I'm fairly confident that UKOG will have done due diligence on the financial rules re getting any cash out of Turkey - SS has spent a lot of his time working international as has the COO Cartwright. Morzaria has been involved in gold and lithium in strange parts of he world .

Limited number of suppliers onshore UK - main ones are PW at Newark, BDF drilling at Nottingham, Moorhouse at Bridlington. Most other kit has to come from Aberdeen or (occasionally) Yarmouth - otherwise it's from overseas
