I seem to remember that even when they were flowing it it was never quite as good as the Portland - but that's why you run an EWT - to see what happens long term. My guess is that they have depleted the oil from the fractures and it doesn't recharge very fast - they can probably flow it 1 month a year or similar.

The whole point of the Nutech & Schlumberger reports is that they are talking about IN PLACE resources - they never mentioned recoverable rates or volumes. Nether did XODUS in their various reports AFAIK

Messrs Sanderson and his Australian boss also were quite careful to use the words in-place although they didn't emphasis the fact. This has been done before by others (see Avington). No-one lied but a lot of people went down the garden path quite willingly

The average punter doesn't hear, doesn't want to hear and if they do they don't understand the difference between recoverable and in-place.

The EWT was to test the viability of the Kimm amongst other things. The fact it has never been mentioned in months allows us to draw our own, unscientific conclusions.........

There is still a lot of oil down there - the problem is it looks very very difficult to get it out in commercial volumes and a reasonable price

The rig comes on 20-30 truck loads - it requires a large crane to assemble it

If the whole field exists, and we are lucky enough to have the MAX number Xodus have calculated, and we produce it all in a year (not the 15-20 years it would probably take) it would provide a magnificent 3% of Uk gas use.........

It doesn't - it says that in the OPINION of Xodus there might be x amount of gas there. Penguin was right - we haven't seen the CMA text which undoubtedly will be in the full report

Probably true - but Egdon have have two very long term big shareholders - they've put many in for years and I'm sure they won't change just as they're about to reach serious production (and have the offshore deal as well)

Expect some dilution but the money will come from their LTH's - and nothing like the billions of extra shares the likes of UJO & UKOG shovel into the market

Ocelot - that means the contract reflects the CPR figures - it's good in that ANGS have got a contract but Shell won't have done any due diligence on the numbers - total production is a very small part of their UK business and TBH they won't notice if is a tenth or 10x the CPR rates.

We've seen at HUR how wrong a CPR can be - the challenge at SFB will be to first meet and then hopefully exceed, those CPR numbers

No increase in production from the OGA figures, no statement from the Company or Alba, no reports of a significant uptick in tankers carrying oil.

How would you bet HH1???

Probelm is where is the water and can they shut it off? If it's coming through fractures near the heel o the well then there is very little they can do. It's also hard to fully seal of a horizontal well.

The fact they haven't mentioned any HH2z production in ages suggests it's not an easy or cheap fix.

You remember the sweepstakes earlier - everyone was looking at a total from 400 bopd to 3000 bopd (10P of course) - I think we'd now be very happy if they could just reach 400 bopd day in , day out...........
