Heid, accept tyres are dumped. The rubber CAN be recycled, and some industries use the entire casing as a fuel, but a reliable reverse-supply route is required. That should work for the quick-fits, less for the vehicle scrappers.

That was the point of my first this morning; we don't NEED to get more oil just now, especially if it results in higher gas %. We already have more cash than we have things to spend it on short-term. (Longer term a couple of planning permissions might alter that balance.)
