However the 3 major benefits cited for buy-back apply no more to those held in treasury than to those cancelled, or "retired". (1-sp rise, 2-divi concentration, 3-avoiding hostile takeover)

The in-treasury benefit is one which has already been latched onto by unscrupulous bashers; that is the ability to grant share options for staff and directors. Rest my case.

This share has been a learning experience. Some will sell early when an early drop loses them 10%. Again & again, loss on loss. I'm pretty sure I've been 80%+ down on this, but now 140% up. OK, some shares are doomed, if you hold you wilI lose. But most are just part of a cyclical market, and will come back. We should focus on spotting the differences, for best decisions. Gla
