My view on the Deltic offer is that it is / was strategical in that S&S would have a direct link to the behemoth oiler Shell for future discussions regarding West Newton, provided that is proven up. Would give a quick route to monetisation from a Company that has as deep pockets as any Globally.
S&S will continue to look towards monetisation of West Newton and have already started imo.

Fair point Washer but it must be for something and the words 'opportunities with the potential for a quick turnaround' were used. I agree with Madgey that talk is cheap but I can't help being a little intrigued at this stage, if it is a smokescreen it does not explain away the $45m.

Thar Vi totally the main project, just for me the $45m raise was done for a reason and I still think the sheikh is connected to that, but we will find out ( hopefully ) on Monday.

All valid points which need an answer, I would also add as I am interested what are the near term projects in addition to Thar VI which have been strongly hinted at in the last 2 rns's.

No one is saying ask nice questions, my point is she will not respond to a slanging match and we have far more chance in getting the real answers, and I totally agree with you for what its worth, if the questions are to the point, blunt if you like but put across so that she has no excuse as to rebuke them due to their abrasiveness.
We all want answers its just how best as to go about getting them. She has no excuses and needs to cut to the chase on Monday.

Good article on twitter and an update of the CPEC position between China & Pakistan, it mentions the projects already completed or in progress and another 9 going ahead with an energy output total of 6399 MW capacity. Anyone got the ability to deduct our 1320 MW to see if we are factored in to that total, we would need to know the other projects intended output.
Either way a promising report, the nub of it being the belief that CPEC was being slowed down has been totally refuted so someone has had a bit of a ticking off by the sounds of it :¬) If I was more tech savvy I would cut and paste the article on this board :¬(

I think Jimiam is referring to the fact that finance has not been announced yet for the main project but on that score LOI is the lynch pin that is holding off everything else, JIA, JCC etc.
ChinaCoal do appear to have dragged their feet on the license payment announced yesterday and all for a few £k.

Thanks Jimiam, good points and despite people's angst I do believe we have a much better chance of Naheed responding if the questions are to the point whilst polite / civil (and relevant) of course. Naheed must be aware of shareholders frustrations to the sp which is what probably instigated the Q&A rns.
LOI will happen but being held off so as you state can the other projects be announced as soon as to give shareholders something else to look forward to.

Would be a good to pose that at Q&A and relevant to warrant a serious response on behalf of already existing shareholders.

It does at least show that China Coal are still interested in getting involved and continuing with Thar VI, due to ours being the only project out of 17 not being signed off I did start to wonder if China Coal had pulled out or at the very least stated that they had enough CPEC projects going on for the time being, they do have a 73% stake in it and without them it falls through.
It is very relevant from that perspective and I am sure I was not the only one with similar concerns, just back to waiting now but to reiterate all parties still on board.

Would have known about this prior to yesterdays RNS hence the Q&A forum otherwise she was setting herself up for an onslaught, I am just wondering if we will get a further RNS regarding 'other projects ' due to the $45m funding being mentioned and offered for questions in yesterdays rns. Because unless we get some detail prior to her speaking about it surely any info or detail given out before public knowledge could be seen as insider / price sensitive to the sp. Just musing.

Worst case scenario It does suggest that it has been initially refused and therefore should be reconsidered, the problem is it does appear this report is nearly 3 years old as 2017 is mentioned (future tense). So its any ones guess.
License fees have been submitted and paid / accepted, Sheikh has 300m so it should just need Admin approval, surely.

I believe it is 2 years old but backing up of how we have got this far, i.e LOI has been approved subject to Admin process, all paperwork submitted and licence fees paid etc.
Just wondering now if we will get some 'other' news before Mondays questions and answers.
