On another note, came across a RNS for Victoria Oil & Gas (VOG) yesterday, dated 23 Dec - extension to one of their licenses in Cameroon. Worth noting that this year this news came a month later than last year, so to me it's hinting at 2 things:

- there is a bit of a delay with MINMIDT just now of about a month
- they are still at work and nothing radical has happened in attitude towards O&G projects

Original timeframe was 60 days, add 30 days delay, we're now only 2 weeks past that, so not exactly ages. I would hope now that they got this VOG approval out of the way maybe we're somewhere closer up the order.

There is a widespread problem with assay lab availability, and there doesn't appear to be some structured pecking order on the backlog. It's not unusual for assay results from summer drilling to be this late. I imagine the situation has been exacerbated by the new variant.

Going in at 20p would have been ideal, but who has the foresight to time the bottom and also be certain it will go well going forward? If we're honest with each other, there was lots of uncertainty in the summer, and putting in your money was very risky. It's now less so, newsflow is quite clear, their priorities are clear, finance sorted, lessons learned. Many reasons to be optimistic.
