The man is a machine. Numbers at the ready. Concise refined talking points, consistent message. Taking notes on comms and leadership over here. I understand the frustration comments on being in the red - there myself, but this will come good end of year, it's only frustrating for traders and holders who were hoping to be out/de-risk at this point.

Thanks for your reminder posts whistler. I did go and re-watch the Core Finance interview and CH indeed stated that revised timeline (to the one that was in the Dec RNS).

I guess it's the same reasons as with the finance. Starts with O. Or perhaps the report authors were given more material to include!

Whatever the opinion, this is not how you communicate.

You don't:
- Release a RNS titled as a placing
- Oh by the way, inside is an Operations Update, a Covid Update, a Mineral Resource Upgrade, and a January performance update (despite their previous claim they are reverting to quarterly updates)
- Oh and by the way (x2), there's also a link to a new corporate presentation deep in there somewhere
- Do not follow up the above with some interviews to break down the operational performance, the plans for the year, the use of financing (previous and this one), and then a separate interview to the presentation.

Are they all collectively autistic up there? Absolute joke. I felt like a dog being thrown some scraps with disdain after reading all of that, regardless of the contents.

Was there an updated timeline?

Dec 8 RNS:
"The CPR is expected to be finalised over the next 60 days."

We are now right at that point. Now, I don't know how relevant semantics are here, and whether 'finalised' is the same as 'made public'.

Was my thinking too. The timing coincides with when they're due the CPR report. The financing has been sufficiently covered in Proactive and Core Finance, so reasonable to expect he'll have more to say at the presentation.

I seem to recall from some of the posts here that indeed the president has to give his okay. Political instability in the region aside, worth mentioning as well that Cameroon is hosting a big African football tournament. May seem silly, but football is big for them, so perhaps delays associated with that as well. It also has to be said that TRP repeatedly stated state support for their operations in their RNSs, so that's a positive.

Overall, investing in Africa is not for the weak, that's for sure. You just never know what's going to happen (or when).

I'm trying to stay balanced and calm, but always risks, as with anything in life. Anyone seriously invested and struggling/worried, wish you all nothing but great success.

Good news is, if they fail to reach full production (as with their failure with many other goals), that means they won't need the funding!

Yes, I remember that RNS all too well! And I get that 'still no news' is not exactly RNSable, and not everything is, but they could have explained what the delay is down to. Imagine if after all this delay and lip service they turn around and say the deal is off. How could anyone ever trust them again?

Also, in the RNS about the placing, the explanation for the funds is rather vague and sounds like a whole bunch of nothing. It might turn out that the resources come good and this whole thing just explodes like 10x or 20x, but I am simply uninspired by Jeremy Asher and his (I think) Monaco residence.

I looked at the petroleum code some time ago. The 60 days may have been in some previous revision, but in this latest one there is no mention of it.

Search below document for '60', 'sixty', 'decree' - I can't find any mention of that deadline.

Only if you tell us to not think about failure and just focus on the success.

It's an ongoing issue that LSE are reluctant to fix. I have noticed this with ADV also when it tanked recently. Some other tickers affected as well.

And another reminder of how little it takes to get things moving here. Imagine once the development plans are distilled and operational updates start coming in! I'm also loving the fact they are quite proactive on twitter/social. Imagine once things get rolling they will have much more to talk about, and perhaps Professor can delegate and then just sit back, chill, and enjoy the fruits of his years of work!

Actually, it's almost like that interview is a direct response to my post some days ago!
