Agree difficult 2 years, but other companies making things happen regardless. I supposed Africa makes it a degree more difficult.

The original timelines to drill NJOM3 were in 2020. Delayed by almost 2 years now. I see in the March 2, 2020 RNS they outline the farm-out terms with OilLR, however, there doesn't appear to be a RNS later on explaining the deal has been dropped (in favour of Beluga?)

Can any long-term holders advise on what's happened there historically? I find it bizarre that the last mention of OilLR was in Mar 30, 2020 RNS, and then nothing?

As much as I want that to be true, Moneymunch, the more I learn and see JA work, the more I doubt he's the type to turn it into a "small cap to mid cap oil producer". I got in this hoping for short-mid term, definitely not years.

Looked him up on Linkedin, location listed as Monaco. Sure hope that's not current. I would want to invest in a company where the main man is on the ground, hands-on, balls-deep in dirt. If this deal is so close, I sure hope JA is not sitting somewhere in Monaco sipping on some pretentious ****tail.

I would consider existing license extension and JV approval separate matters, but your point is still valid.

It's a communication failure on JA's part to set false expectations like that, when even the current version of the petroleum code itself has no mention of this deadline.

JA gave a comment on why this needed to be done now. I guess they need to secure certain things now so that they don't end up looking like fools if they wait until the decret, and then realise the equipment's and labour has been booked up by somebody else.

There is nothing positive that's going to come out of these interactions for you. Hard reading about your losses. Just have a bit of faith. If you are underwater here, I think you can at least hope to breakeven and exit the position - that's reasonable. If you choose to stay in and it doesn't work out, the not working out part won't be your fault, and it's not something you can change. Your choices are: stay in the position or exit, if staying, stay (reasonably) positive or get overcome with negativity and bitterness. If it doesn't work out AND you stay negative - it's a double-whammy. If you stay negative and it works out, then it's also not as good, because you spent all this time torturing yourself.

I have equal admiration for people who hate the share, but stay invested (or not invested to begin with) and keep wasting their life away posting about how much they hate the company. If you invested and are now bitter, at what point do you accept your own responsibility for the investment decision? Or is it always someone else's fault? If you are not invested, why are you even here?
