Given the title of the patent submission 'Nucleic acids and polypeptides encoded thereby' I wonder if this is a patent for the delivery mechanism rather than a patent for the specific vaccine ?

If Moditope lives up to our hopes then LD should be awarded the Nobel Prize for Medicine. Might see what odds I can get on this happening :-)

For those of us in Angle and Scancell we have am interesting 8-9 weeks coming up. Angle FDA submission by end Sept, and first Scancell TaG deal by end Oct. Hopefully something unexpected too....

btw - based on how much of my excess was allocated I recon that the total value of shares that were requested in the OO was about £3.3m i.e. the offer was oversubscribed to the tune of about 65%

Inan - surely if Parsortix is identifying patients that will respond, then by default it is also identifying those that won't....

If it was a sell the price would be down not up (IMO) as sells would have outweighed buys 3:1 so I'm sure it must be a buy. As you say, somebody is confident.

My guess is that this was a worked buy order placed this morning and was responsible for the decent rise in SP.

I got my full standard allocation. I also got 9186 of the 28598 excess shares that I applied for.

I'm with HL and received 32% of the excess shares I applied for.

Agree Bermudashorts, very reassuring to see LD take up her large full entitlement. Also good to see Sally take up hers although she doesn't hold many shares.

Don't think CH actually owns any shares so wasn't eligible for the OO.

FYI for those that haven't read the small print. All the shares you have applied for (entitlement and excess) have to be paid for (to Scancell) by 11am Monday. When Scancell have received all of the requests for OO shares they will calculate the allocations and will scale back any excess requests as necessary. If you have requested excess but are scaled back then Scancell will return the funds to your broker for the excess shares that you did not receive within 4 days, so you may have a short wait to get your money back for excess share requests which aren't fulfilled.

Cliff is aware of the Future Fund (I asked him a while back) but as KonarA says Scancell are not eligible.

FYI - today the breakfast show focused on the work being done at Notts Uni on identification of different variations of the virus.

I agree with your speculation Bermuda - it seems likely that screening has thrown up one or more potential patients who would be eligible but for steroid use as it seems to be a very specific change to make for no reason. Hopefully we'll get the very long awaited 'first patient dosed' announcement soon...

As you may know Radio Notts are at Notts Uni everyday this week looking at their COVID work. To save you listening I can tell you that thy are focused on antibody testing today.

Yes, I listened on BBC Sounds after it finished so that I could skip through the other stuff. The segment on COVID related to how they have used the cows to grow antibodies (inject the cows with the virus and harvest the antibodies a couple of weeks later) and then they extract the bits from the cow antibodies that penetrate the virus and graft these to a vaccine suitable for humans - that was about it from what I heard.
