the issue isn't with Vulpes selling, buying or doing whatever they want. The issue is that in the case of this particular fund their buys and sells are reported as director buys / sells due to MD being on the board. This creates a strange situation where the trading activities of a fund are portrayed to the market as director sales / purchases which (IMO), given the influence of director trading on market sentiment, cannot be an appropriate arrangement.

The Vulpes sells IMO certainly don't signal that they think the price has peaked and are therefore starting to exit. If they thought this they would not have done 3 small (compared to their holdings) sells with the effect of knocking millions off the value of their holding. I am confident that they fully expect the pice impact of their sales to be short lived.

If they wanted to exit they would arrange a sale to another party and / or would have sold a much larger amount before announcing the sale and inevitably impacting the price they can sell at. I agree with others who have said that the sale must be simply to raise liquidity for another investment or for some sort of tax reasons.

I agree Bermuda. If there were any significant science stumbling blocks still to be overcome, or any uncertainty over the pre-clinical outcome, I'm sure that Scancell would not have been as forthcoming as they have. Hopefully just a (short) matter of time till we get some formal notification of progress....

I notice that Scancell have re-tweeted a number of items which talk about the need for a universal vaccine. I'm guessing that they wouldn't be doing this if they hadn't had a very good T-Cell response to the N protein and thus now believe that Covidity may be a serious candidate to be a universal coronavirus vaccine. Just a thought.

Hi Bermuda - no I didn't mention the code but I did ask if their NOMAD had advised on the situation.

I believe that this situation may also create a conflict of interest in that by virtue of having to report each of their trades (due to M. Diggle non exec role) Vulpes are able, if they so wished, to carry out reportable trades specifically aimed at influencing the market for the advantage of their fund.

I've no problem with Vulpes trading shares on a daily basis if they want to. My problem is that this is reported as Director buying / selling which IMO paints a distorted picture to the market.

This is jut getting silly now, needs to be off the BOD. Any what couldn't he just sell the 2m in one go....what's with the drip feed. Very unsatisfactory.

Falsedawn that is great logic for which you should be commended. I expect the Diggle sale was purely to fund something else and as you say the price will no doubt be significantly higher once we get some news flow regarding any of the trials.

I agree ref the frequent trading - major investors who get a seat on the board should not be doing this, period. The Chairman needs to have a word about this.

I wonder why this pattern of multiple small sells ? Maybe it is some sort of psychology to spook holders without him actually having to sell very many - maybe he wants to keep a lid on the price for some reason ?

Just listened to the interview. Sounds like Janet is very close to / involved in the the project and therefore when she human trial are only a few weeks away that can be taken on face value. Things really are moving....

BOJO2020 - ref you South Korea comment. I noticed in google trends (I forget who posted the link to that, but thanks !) that there had suddenly been a largish number of Google searches for 'Scancell' from South Korea - your comment explains why I expect.

Just watched it on iPlayer. Its on the news channels and you need to go back to 8:40 wish. It's just short piece where it is mentioned that Nottingham Uni are working on a 2nd Ged vaccine and then Janet gives a brief explanation of how it works. No mention of Scancell and no logo's.

And finally, AN stated in one of his recent presentations that the process is now at the FDA Substantive Review stage (you'll find this in the diagram on pg. 14).

I recall from reading the FDA materials that the days referred to are calendar days not working days.

Probably as well that he was out of action today as his little fingers would have been worn to the bone posting all the price movements :-)

Interesting that it took till so late in the day to issue the RNS. Maybe they were trying agree a form of words with their Nomad that doesn't give away too much....
