Jeez there is some serious overthinking going on here. This was one of a regular series of Turner Pope webinars featuring their clients which will be aimed as much at promoting Turner Pope as at promoting the company itself. The emphasis on the fundraise elements was testament to this.

Regarding the timing - probably been in the diary for a while.

Why vague about details and nothing new. ? Because they always are - they have to be very careful not to give away anything which may be price sensitive.

Why dull ? Because that is how Cliff does things.

Intersting to see on one of Cliff's slides that SN15/SCOV1 was referred to as the selected version for the clinical trial. Looks like SN14 has been left at the altar - gutted for it.

By way of a small example, on Monday Regeneron received approval from the FDA for expanded use of their anti-PD-1 cancer drug Libtayo to include the first-line treatment of patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer whose tumors have with programmed death-ligand 1, or PD-L1, expression of at least 50%.

A simple and cost effective way of measuring PD-L1 status may come in handy for Regeneron (or the insurers being asked to pay for Libtayo)....enter Parsortix via the US lab service.

Insurers in the US will also start demanding a PD-L1 status test before approving spend on mega expensive checkpoint inhibitors which will only work on patients with a particular PD-L1 status.

Basically Parsortix is making a lot of things possible that couldn't be done before, and there is real demand for these things. Of course it will take time for sales volumes to grow, but AGL will be bought out by a big player based on the future financial potential long before revenue hits high levels.

Lets hope the Q&A reveals something as the presentation certainly didn't

I think maybe folks are looking for something that isn't there. It is pretty much a given that after a strong SP rise there will then be a pullback (particularly in the absence of news), so what we are seeing now is pretty much textbook SP movement.

the Turner Pope connection to Scancell is that they acted as Joint Bookrunner in the July fundraise. I notice that these Vox Markets webinars frequently feature companies where Turner Pope has been involved in a fundraise.

Personally I think that the govt will throw the kitchen sink behind Covidity if the phase 1 confirms efficacy. This is the golden ticket which will ensure we don't get back into the mess that we are just getting out of.

These webinar sessions seem to be a very regular occurrence and often feature companies that have used Turner Pope for fundraising activities. Therefore it looks to me like a run of the mill investor event and I wouldn't see this in itself as an indicator that news will drop on or before Thursday (although this may well happen given recent events). If nothing else it will certainly be a good opportunity to get an update on Covidity and the cancer trials.

In the last week we have had Gillies O'Bryan-Tear, Lindy Durrant, Janet Daly and Jonathan Ball in newspapers and on TV / radio, plus Scancell re-tweeting lots of related items. This says to me:-

- preclinical data is v good and confidence is high
- we are very near clinical trial commencement
