It is also worth looking at this from the board’s point of view. They will have known they need to do a placing at some point (explorers always do). They will have seen the share price dwindling over the past 6 months. Bill has probably spent many hours in that time, and several sleepless nights, worrying about the risk of having to place at 0.5 or something like that. Of course he’d have been confident the SP would recover. But what if it didn’t happen in time?
So, when we finally get a good SP rise, it is a chance to get a needed placing away at a level which is well above medium term lows. In a sense, a god send! No more sleepless nights. No death spiral.
I can see why they took the chance. And it has harmed us PIs much less than it would have done at any other point in the last 6 months. As I said earlier, I just hope they are ready to get back on the positive message to support a rise back up
