It is also worth looking at this from the board’s point of view. They will have known they need to do a placing at some point (explorers always do). They will have seen the share price dwindling over the past 6 months. Bill has probably spent many hours in that time, and several sleepless nights, worrying about the risk of having to place at 0.5 or something like that. Of course he’d have been confident the SP would recover. But what if it didn’t happen in time?

So, when we finally get a good SP rise, it is a chance to get a needed placing away at a level which is well above medium term lows. In a sense, a god send! No more sleepless nights. No death spiral.

I can see why they took the chance. And it has harmed us PIs much less than it would have done at any other point in the last 6 months. As I said earlier, I just hope they are ready to get back on the positive message to support a rise back up

I’ve bought £25k this morning. This will likely have a rough few weeks now but this blip does not detract at all from my belief that we will be over 5p in 18 months time. So actually this is a chance to correct that feeling of regret I had that I should have bought more prior to the scoping study being published

Another thing that’s a bit annoying is that they’ve announced a future placing rather than a completed one - so the SP is going to get pinned back twice - today on the news of the placing and then again on 18 November when the placees flip their shares. So they’ve also created a disincentive for us to pile in today and drive the price straight back up

I understand doing it and I understand the timing (what if this recent move up turned out to be a spike and we were back at 0.85 in two weeks anyway - then we’d be placing at 0.65). I do have a criticism, though, which is that they could have said more about what the money is to be used for, to make this sound more like an opportunity and less like a necessary evil

Anyone else think that Ben seems in interviews to be pretty convinced that the “f’d up rocks” from the Proterozoic in hole 2, plus the successes already registered in terms of the model and the efficacy of the ground and airborne surveying technics, are enough on their own to bring a major in?

If he’s right about that, and we have a very good prospect of being funded by someone else to explore a potential mining DISTRICT, the current valuation of Kav is surely just bonkers

At the end of the day, either you believe they can execute on at least some of the projects or you don’t. If they close anything at all, the company is drastically undervalued and has serious bagger potential. Obviously if they never close anything that’s a problem. But I haven’t seen anything to suggest that will be the case. In fact, Burwell aside, I think the board have had a good 2021.

The really exciting thing about Corcel is at the other end of what’s possible. In the next 6-12 months we could very well find that we have several FGS projects closed (Mcap say £20m) plus funding and offtake for nickel projects (Mcap say £100m). So a possible 20 bagger

He did say the cores haven’t been sent to the lab yet, but one of the reasons he gave for that was that they have arranged some “site visits” for “interested parties” to come and have a look at what they have been doing. Depending on who those interested parties are, giving them a look at the core before we part with it might be a decent reason for a short delay in sending to the lab!

Thought I’d share my reasons for adding to my holding this morning:

1. Excellent price. This share has for some months been in a range of about 1.35-1.75. Even if it just drifts about it should go up from here.
2. Close of Avonmouth and Tring could be any time (immediate re-rate).
3. Despite personal irritation re Burwell, I accept the point made by Torr and others during the past few days that any resolution would be positive, and some resolution does seem likely.
4. Reassurance given at recent Q & A about avoiding placings.
5. Indications from Dicko that we may be progressing towards a Mambare mining licence. If that happens, it could also trigger news on a JV/funding arrangement/offtake via Sinom (immediate re-rate)

Ninja, I’m afraid it looks like we have different approaches to reading news. Propositions like “they wouldn’t mention x if they were not certain it was there” and “the copper must be coming from somewhere” do not do it for me. Each to their own!

You’re refusing to acknowledge the difference between what they know and what they think/hope. They know they’ve hit 1200 veins etc. They think/hope that is indicative of a large copper porphyry beneath. What I’m interested in is how positive or otherwise what they know is. No responses so far.

You clearly think I’m de-ramping. I’m not. I’m thinking about whether to buy back in. I sought a quote to buy £10k just after 8am this morning. It was NT to buy and I haven’t bought yet. I would be more likely to buy if someone knowledgeable answered my question!
