It’s was only a hearing based on motions filed. Some were thrown out some were stayed. Both sides were trying to get each other expert witness removed probably didn’t work. No big deal I inagine you’d need a very good argument to remove an expert witness.

Apparently anyone can be on the Jury and it's a known problem that they don't really understand what's going on especially in electronic, biotec and software cases. I suppose it's all going to come down to how good the legal team is at translating the necessary information so they understand what has actually been infringed. A good thing on our part I think is the way Maxwell has behaved, they're on their 3rd legal team why the change. They came up with a story that they'd been making these parts for years before the patent was granted but they had no evidence of this apart from an old part that was found in someones garage (or something like that) if it looks suspect I'm sure any reasonable thinking person will think the same thing, they're willing to try anything to get out of this. I hope so anyway!

We asked in July for a summary judgement on Maxwells claims, Maxwell asked for a partial dismissal of this and the judge granted it. This means the opening brief is now irrelevant so they need to change it. Thats how I understand it anyway.
