ITALY --- They reported a settlement with EURO on 2.04% not 2.4% that Italy wanted. In the report it also said that some other countries were over the 3% limit including France ! What about that, then ! On another matter,
Robin, has Mrs May been in touch ? You seem convinced a hard Brexit is coming. The Euro Court of Justice says:- WE can DROP Brexit if we want and no one can stop it. What about that then ???? Not sure ANY company will survive Hard Exit and will make many others struggle. Is that what you want ?? I posed a question on Shell, how do the investors view Half company in the Netherlands and half here ? Answers on back of a stamp, please. Personally, I SHUDDER at the thought of Brexit in any form, having lived through World War Two as a youngster and teenager, served in the RAF during the Berlin Airlift and lived perilessly with family and fellow citizens, during the cold war, missiles in Cuba, etc. EURO, for all its faults, does provide some form of protection for its citizens in many different ways. Brexit will dump us back into the twenties and thirties, or even worse, Victorian Empire attitude to a selfish mode of looking after number one, AND no one else ! For the Victorians, why did we send troops to the war in the Crimea *****ular in 1860s ? Death and Glory boys for Generals, I suppose ? ---- Yours, Max. OHH and a Happy New year to all readers.
