LLoyds Testing didn' just go into administration, it was put there by its then owners. Speedy Hire came along and bought it from the administrators, in what I would say was a good business transaction, wouldn't you ? Of course, I don't think the Testing employees are all desk bound, they probably have to have some kit available to take to the requisite site. Since the company has scheduled the ISOs it follows the certificates issued by Lloyds will have to be competently recorded after examinations are carried out. In my view a very good service to offer Contractors up to their necks in building whatever they do. The power lifts recently purchased must be a God send to some Contractors. All this work for SDY will obviously be useful in providing revenue but also great experience for apprentices in the trade. ---- Yours, Max.

Nearly twelve months has elapsed since Polaris became part of TPG. It really is smashing to see that they are doing so well as a part of the team. If one is here because one believes that a good company with very promising materials is worth supporting then why should one raise any qualms when situations arise which cause the valuation one has placed upon it seem to be moving adversely? Look at some events of only two years ago. Trump got elected. Brexit happened. Any more disasters worth noting ? Climate change noted but denied after Paris. Tarriff wars erupted. Had another look at report, The fours touch, only in london, is a promise to deliver within a four hour window. Order at 10.00 and receive gear by 2.00 would seem to be the strategy. If these promises work in Log Jammed London then it seems a good way of getting new customers, particularli in the SME stream. The competition would need to at least equal their promises. You may recall the company offering, in the London region, a promise to provide equipment the SAME DAY if ordered by 3.00 pm OR you can have one weeks free use if they fail. They found the response was so good that they extended the promise Nationwide after about four months. Now another offer has been made, again only in London, to provide a four hour window. For some time we have been looking at the possibilities [In our limited views] about developments in the company with regard to acquisitions since the fund raise of last year. We have thought that more action should have occured in this area, but were not "churlish" as Dar phrased it in November. Thanks for your note. I am not a supporter of the Tories, far from it, but I do have a certain amount of sympathy for Mrs May in her battles with this or that hostile group within her own party. No wonder she did a dance, to show her many sides ?? Theres only Kenneth Clarke left now to support her. I think she might call a general election to settle matters and that should worry the members of her party who are really well in or undecided or moving towards the exit or have shot them selves in the foot with their wicked resignations since they can't have ball. Dear Feeks, the German company name is Aixtron (only one R) The German Minister only annouced the ban on Monday last. Perhaps I did pick up on a different article than yourself, apologies for that, but the pressure exerted by USA seemed an important topic, which I can not now find there. Aixtron announced in September a sale of materials to a Chinese company, which appear to produce lasers, etc.---- Yours, Max.

The article I read was on LedInside and written by a woman editor, I think. It had a label such as "Long Read" and, of course, was quite specific where it could be. What I mean by that was the Chinese company was proposing to purchase 50.01% of Airxtron, a German company. This would have meant gaining control of the companies aims and objectives and include the knowledge of design capabilities, production and any possible variants thereby. This seemed to be the worry for the USA. It took the German government about two years to decide not to allow the transaction. ---- Yours, Max.

Dear Feeks, Having read the article from the link you provided it was shown quite clearly that the deal between the German company and the Chinese company, originally drawn up two years earlier, was not passed by the German authorities due to concerns over Nat Sec by the USA. The suggestion was made that the material being made could be made into military material. Hence the worries from USA. In my view, similar actions may be exerted by USA on other countries, espescially members of NATO ---- Yours, Max.

Given your knowledge of NFL and its Ministers and people, do they have the possibility of education and training in manufacturing, transport and exporting to thrive in such a cold area ? Are the forests well stocked with the right timber to produce furniture and other products, is there sufficient waste to be gathered to make coalswitch in commercial quantities? Lots of questions, I do admit, but surely the residents have some desires to see improvements made in their lives. Allowing a company like Aeg to have a sufficiently long licence to develop and export Coalswitch during the summer months when ice free is not unattainable. ---- Yours, Max.
