If I recall matters correctly The president of Zimbabwe was already taking over the farms run successfully by white people.Transferring the farms to Indigenous who had worked on the farms but had little or no business experience to keep the production going. I don't suppose a Corbyn goverment would win election on the seemingly stupid forecasts you mention. This includes the wonderful roundhouse built to stable horses in the 1850s I believe. Looking at the situation for shipping on the East Coast including N&L it seems no thoughts, or not much, was ever given to making the harbour more commercialised. Large rocks can be removed over time with government focused expenditure to facilitate shipping arriving with imports, possible oil companies requirements, tourists arriving and departing with hotels in major cities, exports perhaps including goods manufactured in NFL and other provinces with no direct access to ocean ports, etc. Instead we seem to a "No GO" attitude to development because we "have insufficient berthing", etc. Chicken and egg situation perhaps ?? ---- Yours, Max.

TOP NEWS: BHP Billiton Wins Two Canadian Oil Exploration Licences

LONDON (Alliance News) - London and Johannesburg-listed natural resources firm BHP Billiton PLC said Thursday it had won two offshore oil exploration licences in Canada after making a USD625 million bid over the six year licence period.

BHP successfully bid for a 100% participatory interest in blocks 8 and 12 of the offshore Orphan Basin in eastern Canada. The Canada Newfoundland & Labrador Offshore Petroleum Board is expected to issue the licences in December with them becoming effective in January.

The exploration licences will run for an initial six years with the bid by BHP over this period being USD625 million, this is to cover the drilling and seismic work required by the exploration work program outlined in the bid.

Will this impact on AEGs bid for FMA ?? It might lead to improve of dock facilities. ___ Yours, Max.

Thanks for the heads up, perhaps many of us need them. I don't find AIM companies any worse than Tier 1 companies. Several have misbehaved in ways that are unfair. WPP [Wire and Plastic products] was a manufacturing company, made the shopping baskets for the early Mini-Supermarkets for example. Martin Sorrell bought it and changed it into an Advertising company, which became world famous and powerful. BUT the shareholders did not appraciate his driving force in recent times and his high salary, so ditched him. National Grid did some manipulation about a year ago. (1) First class forestry management with enthusiastic participation of the residents and forestry workers.
(2) Manufacturing of easily saleable and transportable Coalswitch for internal use and export.
(3) Regular and sustained use of transport companies and shipping lines from an enhanced dock system.
(4) Greatly reduced fire risk along with clean replanting where indicated by the expert local people.
(5) Clean Air for everyone to improve living standards and demonstrate the benefits to others.
(6) Good and careful husbanding of wildlife to sustain various species as directed by the local people.

If the company, ANY company, is reporting on what to some people, including me, is an important message such as yesterdays, surely it should be treated as more than informational. The RNS today is numbered 2682G, how do you know this is non reg ? Quindao is a massive city of 9 million people and the Municipal Council is right, it seems to want to have an input to the framework. I do hope Peter Jay was able to use his language skills and knowledge of China to provide the right type of advice to the CEO at the right and most appropriate time during the discussions. A number of people here seem bothered that we are negotiating in Shandong, perhaps they should advocate another line of business.
