Wulbert and others are concerned/not concerned about several matters that may affect the world as we know it. We could try to build a list of favourable matters and another of unfavourable matters and try to balance any results which we may feel we have listed properly. First of all ---- are we all naturally born economists ? No, then lets just guess the outcomes and put them on the Global Scales.
Headwinds - Trump, highly unpredictable, opposed to most things that make life more pleasant. Italy, presently with a government elected almost on false promises, who have shaken EURO to the core, even more than Greece did. Climate Change - recently reported we need a target of 1,5C or less in temperature rises to reduce the threats to everything on earth. UK Brexit, like it or not, will leave this country a shadow of what it was. being "Democratic" in carrying out the result of the Referendum is cutting off the nose to spite the face. Will we need to leave Northern Ireland and build a fence down the middle of the irish Sea in addition to a fence down the North Sea and English Channel. Tailwinds - Only two years to see the back of Trump, the incredible inventiveness of the British people leading the world in many aspects of inovation. British people showing wartime grit to overcome the results, or whatever, of David Camerons Brexit Plan, cooked up and maintained by Eton educated students. If you don't mind I will stop there. ----- Yours, Max.
