They're in a close period now, so don't expect any concrete news until they release the full year to end June results on 20 September. Fingers crossed for that!!

Slightly surprised to see a man with 17k posts suggest that only holders should post on a stock. By definition, a holder will be positive, so based on your thesis, these Boards would simply be a bunch of people vigorously agreeing with each other, and simply reinforcing their own beliefs - a great way to lose money in my view. On the contrary, I seek out those who have a different view than mine, and use this to stress test my own view. If that happens to be a non-holder, or even a short seller, then so be it (though I confess I don't short stocks myself). I find this a much better and more profitable way to manage a portfolio. Each to his own of course, but that's my view anyway.

I agree, but you said, of this 'size and importance', you didn't mention business model. I would argue that that the two examples I gave were both larger, and more important companies. I do agree that LGEN's business model is far less risky than an investment bank's though. Ironically, paying people's pensions (through the sale of annuities) probably is their most risky business - why do you think UK DB plans have nearly all been closed?!

Don't think over valuation is a concern until the stock's PE goes over 15x this years earnings at least, and that's still 30% or so away.

...let's assume sales of £5.4m for 2015/16. Cost moving at same 'trajectory' as previous years - not really sure what this means as overall costs been flat at about £1.2m, but let's assume an increase to £1.3m. This gives us a PBT of £4.1m. Using a tax rate of 18% (average of last two years) we get a net profit of £3.4m, or eps of around 70p. At a share price of 11, this is a PE of 15.7x - way too cheap. We have interesting statement re Siemens healthcare and Troponin, plus as mentioned below, they are a huge beneficiary of weaker pound. I think 25x this years earnings is a reasonable 12 mth target = £17.50. Strong buy!

Thanks Hots - Gold plated final salary Pension eh? You are a lucky (old) man for sure!! Very jealous! Retirement a decade away for me I'm afraid, and only have a bit of final salary exposure! For my sins I've worked in the investment industry all my life both fund management and consulting, so do have some from in this game, but restrict myself to a long only, fundamental buy and hold strategy. Also have some P2P, some funds, and good old premium bonds!! Good to see you have a hobby mate - keeping an old timer (like you)'s brain active should keep away bouts of depression and grumpiness.....well mostly anyway! Ha! ;-)

Don't sweat it chaps. Remember, market is only a weighing machine ion the longer term. In the short term, it's a voting machine, and you know the problems that voting gets us into....;-))

Stock direction will always be driven to a greater or lesser extent by the overall market, which is hard to predict at the moment, so short term forecasts pretty difficult . Longer term story looks good to me, so I'd be happy to buy more if stock falls below £2 again. Otherwise, patience is key!

Not sure what you're getting at 1400? Why would JS's target price be any different a month ago than it is now (19p). Nothing's changed per se. Hence as I say, just curious why he didn't sell in that case. No biggie.
