Come on JS, you must know better than to actually believe that the 'buys' and 'sells' shown on boards like this actually give you any useful info? Simply a guess based on whether the price traded happens to be a bit nearer the bid or the offer. Pretty arbitrary IMV. Also, every trade has buyer and a seller anyway be definition, so a bit meaningless. Only think which tells you whether buying or selling pressure is larger is the share price itself which is the clearing mechanism. Sure you know this already........

Not sure about the other two stocks you mention Tricky, but when you have a stock with a single digit PE, above 6% yield, and a proven success story of growth based on very stable life insurance. pensions, and asset management businesses, then I think you have to have a good reason NOT to hold the stock in your portfolio. I expect this to recover back to the 250p area by year end, and move further forward on in 2017. Still a buy IMO.

Ha, good for you Miti, glad you're still with us. I agree that the froth has gone out of this stock now, and we seemed to have formed a good base for the next move. I've fully replaced all stock sold in the £20's and looking forward to the next move up!!

Possibly, although I note that the volumes are much lower than we've seen in most other days over the past few weeks. 20p would be a definite sell if I was still invested, but I'm still very happy with the 18.2p I got!

Honest answer SirT, I have no idea, but it's hard to imagine the markets being overjoyed with the geopolitical tensions which a Trump victory might bring. As always, markets will attempt to price in uncertainty ahead of events, so markets could get a bit hairy after the summer lull.

Yes, good post busicat. As I've mentioned a few times below, interest rate changes are very positive for this Company as all the banks then have to write to their tracker mortgage customers. Chuck in the weak pound as well, plus a 6% yield, and it doesn't really make sense does it? 5 million shares traded today which is huge - more than 2% of the Company and more than 10x average volume. Expect a Holdings RNS imminently!

I hope this isn't reflecting a poor trading statement to come!! the valuation on this stock is now ridiculously low - 6x earnings yielding 6%, whilst the Company has consistently grown in recent years. Also, the fall in � versus Euro will have helped them. Finally, they will be big beneficiaries of a change to base rates/mortgage rates. That said, if they come out with a statement t like St Ives, the stock will get hurt.
